Just a quick off topic one;
I finally got back into my original GTA Forums account today from 2007 which Im really pleased about!
I have been posting on here ever since I lost my original account as KarinSultanRS

So just to let everyone know this is me and I'll be using this account again form now on

That was quick, I am wondering if any mods I had on gtagarage will still be accessible now you have banned my account 'KarinSultanRS'

My main request is: would you be able to change THIS username to 'KarinSultanRS' please?
As that account has now instantly been deleted and that is what I have grown to become known as.

Erm, that is going to be a problem. We don't do name changes. I'm not sure if it would be possible to transfer that mod over to your current account either. One of the GTAG admins might be able to answer that.

You guys used to do name changes in the past, what changed?
It's surely just a simple tool in the board admin panel?

That is absolutely ridiculous..
As I member I feel genuinely let down by the moderating team of this site, more and more so as time goes on.
It does matter because it is a simple change that would take less time than it would take to reply to this message.

That decision has little to do with staff. The board has so many hacks (hacks that are there for you, the members) that things are just too unstable. There have been massive issues in the past with name changes regarding GTAG that it was a better idea to just scrap it altogether.

I'm also enquiring about the same thing at the moment, it seems sam here has had more of a reply and help than I did, I see that we have to wait for V2, which is cool! as long as I know at least, I'm not fussed, but I'm disappointed with the way my topic was dealt with.

Well since staff are the only ones that can make the change it has everything to do with staff doesn't it?
Changing my username isn't going to interrupt the security of this forum...

This is just yet another example of the GTA Forums Hierarchy coming into play.
Nobody wants to take responsibility and help (Which I thought was a duty as a moderator) but all are quick to lock topics and give their personal remarks.
You should support your members, not hinder them.

Why are you getting so worked up over a simple name? This has got nothing to do with staff nor has it got anything to do with hierarchy. This forum is so heavily modified that certain parts of the Admin CP have become unstable. The last time name changes were handed out, the admins had to fix the instability caused to the database. It's not worth the risk and we are not going to do it.

I doubt you'd understand any of the above because you seem way too aggravated to comprehend any reasonable explanation that is thrown at you. If you still feel dissatisfied, then you're free to leave. We are not forcing anyone here.

Anyway, back on topic, waiting for an Admin to settle this because I've found most people so far to be very unhelpful and unwilling to listen. The only problems I can logically think of emanating from a name change is if someone was to pretend to be a administrator. Since none of the mods so far know how or physically cant help, it seems strange as to how this 'ban on name changes' happened in the first place.
It's a silly rule, and it's not like I'm asking for administrator privileges or something, find me someone who cares about the members and wants to help!

I havent seen any of our Mods being rude to other members. I have seen a couple of mods and area ledbys getting frustrated by certain members though, I have found in most cases its the fault of the member not actually listening to what the staff have to say the first time, causing the frustration for the mod because they have to answer the same question over and over.
Apart from that, we have pretty much perfect mods.

What Democracy? Have you even read the forum rules?
