Grand Theft Auto V
Will V be as violent as Max Payne 3? Will it be watered down? Or as violent?

| QUOTE (Psychotic Mind @ Thursday, May 17 2012, 04:53) | | I'm going to say, that if the one and only protagonist is the guy on the balcony, probably not. A 35-40 year old out of shape guy beggining to go over the hill, I don't see much in terms of violence . But who knows. It would be VERY easy for them to improve upon over a character such as Niko, who only cared about his fat idiotic brother. But never f*ck with a man's children. With that said, I would like to see this become the most violent controversial GTA yet. *PERHAPS* a scene where his child has their throat slit in front of him. |
... Max Payne? He's a paunchy old f*ck who's GOT to be around 35-40, and he bullet-times and dodges the f*ck out of everything, into walls, down concrete stairs and whatever else, all the while dual-wielding SMGs and Desert Eagles, and blowing exit wounds the size of oranges through people. But because the guy on the balcony 'appears' older, he can't invoke a violent spree with some extra bloodspray? I hope the level of gore and the specific bullet holes show up in GTAV. I wouldn't mind the use of a kill-cam in certain areas as well, that's so badass!

Violent? I don't want violence, I want realism. In GTA IV, when you shoot some fool in the head doesn't take too many damage, that's very annoying. When you stab someone with a knife, I want to see at least a wound. Max Payne 3 is realist about injuries. When you shoot someone, you see them bleeding out and the wounds, it's not about violence it's about realism. You have to understand that, it's not a kid game.

GTA doesn't need tomato sauce everywhere to sell copies |
This. Hope GTA V will be the least violent in series. |
Really? It didn't bother you that a shotgun blast to the face left no damage to the NPCs in IV? I want exit wounds like in RDR, it's very satisfying to shred people like that |
No it didn't. I ain't a maniac. Go play Manhunt for violence.
GTA <> GFK (Grand F**king Killing). | GTA doesn't need vehicles. Go play Gran Turismo Your logic is retarded. Violence has always been a big part of GTA games.

i want the blood and gore effects to be as realistic as possible.
- gunshots should maim NPCs, at the very least high powered rounds and shotgun blasts should partially destroy the NPC's head and/ or face.
- melee weapons should do realistic damage to bodies; by leaving visible bruises, cuts, punctures and bone fractures.
- wounds should be visible, permanently, on the bodies of NPC's.
- blood must behave like an actual fluid and different ammounts of it should flow from each type of wound.
- NPC's bones should break as a result of high-force impacts, such as those delivered by baseball bats, speeding vehicles and falls from greater heights.
- the force behind projectiles and melee attacks needs to be re-calculated so that dead/ incapacitated NPC's fall over in a more realistic manner.

My tyres running over 100 innocent people on the sidewalk will say otherwise. |
