Hello. I just downloaded ENBSeries, I still have the default settings, fresh installed.
These are also my current in-game GTA IV Settings:
Graphics Settings
Video Mode: 1600 x 900 (60 Hz)
Texture Quality: Low
Shadow Quality: Medium
Reflection Resolution: Medium
Water Quality: Medium
Texture Filter Quality: Tri-Linear
Night Shadows: Medium
View Distance: 25
Detail Distance: 25

I ran a benchmark to further help you judge what ENBSeries settings I should go with:
Statistics
Average FPS: 26.35
Duration: 37.68 sec
CPU Usage: 59%
System memory usage: 69%
Video memory usage: 40%

And here are my specs:
Specifications
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
ATI Radeon HD 5650 with 1 GB VRAM
Intel Core i5 M460 2.53GHz
4 GB RAM

I'd like to have your feedback on what settings I should go with, which won't really lag my game a lot but still give me that fresh look: what I'm mainly looking for is that shine on the cars. I love when the cars are shiny, but unfortunately the default settings don't do this, and any other really awesome graphics mod will probably fry my computer.

Thanks!

Dpeasant's ENB Settings

But you'll need to decease the settings to play it in a playable framerate (specially the Resolution, and Draw Distance). smile.gif

I just installed that, and get
'GTA IV FATAL ERROR: D3D Error - Please re-boot your system'
Any help? I did reboot just now, and this still pops up.

Thanks for the help though, let's hope we can get this fixed and it works nicely ^^

Make sure to open it from LaunchGTAIV.exe, also make sure you installed it properly. smile.gif

Hm? Tried launching it from there, still getting a crash. I'm fairly sure I installed it properly, but I guess reinstalling the mod won't harm.

Oh by the way, even when installed properly, does it really require you to launch with LaunchGtaIV.exe? I'm not sure which exe Steam uses, but it's quite annoying not having the ability to access the community ingame, if I really have to use a different exe.

Also; should I use the Injector or Wrapper version? I really had no idea while installing, so I just picked Injector.

Sorry for putting you through so much trouble, but I'm still getting that same error >.<
Maybe there's some leftover files of Injector causing it, or other reason? I did install it properly this time.
Tried both Steam launch & LaunchGtaIV.exe, both make it crash.
Any idea? Sorry again for all the trouble, and thanks for always responding so fast.

Have you opened it from C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/common/grand theft auto iv/GTA IV? Other than that I don't know what the cause is really. sad.gif

Yep.
That's also where I place the files of ENBseries, right? And place all the folders/merging with old folders .Just doublechecking.
Also, now it's different:
at first when I opened it, it would flicker a couple times then I get that error. Apparently, changing my DisplayWidth & height to my native resolution solved that.
But now, it's just a black screen with the cursor changing into the loading symbol for a few secs, then the cursor goes away and it just stays a black screen. Any other ideas for solving that?
If there's really no solution, I suppose I'll just go with default GTA IV again.
