Hi. I hope someone can help me with this small issue.
I am using GTA DFF Importer plugin and Kams script to import/export a to/from 3ds max 2009.

When I apply the new model this is what it looks like ingame: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/55650539/aaaaa.png
Anyone got an idea about what I could be doing wrong? From what I read GTA .dff Importer by seggaeman should be able to import the model I need into max, without messing their night vector colors.

Thanks.

It's not textured, hence the bright white texture; when a dff cannot find the appropriate texture in its appropriate txd, or the image for the texture simply doesn't exist, ingame it'll look that white.
Reimport the model, reapply the texture, reexport, is my quick solution. :]
Hope it helped

Yes it's true the importer will import the night vertex colors. But Kam's tool can't export the information & I bet that's what's causing the problem. Try Deniska's script (and there's also an exporter I wrote that should work).

@seggaeman - I just tried again. Using both of your scripts.
GTA DFF Importer to Import
DFF Exporter to Export ( http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtop...TA+DFF+Importer )

It looks a little different now, but the object is still white.
Example

Also.. About what EvilRaptor wrote.. Do I actually have to apply the texture to the object inside 3ds? I didnt have to do that when I was just using Kams script. I only started using this because Kams script couldnt handle the night colors, but yours can. So I really want this to succeed.

I get the impression the name of the texture hasn't been specified so in that case yes you should apply it. Btw I updated the tool yesterday (on gtagarage), check if you see anything different.

Also try downloading the latest build of the importer because the earlier releases used to discard the texture names in the model if it couldn't find the actual files.
And what's the name of the model? I'll try investigating.

You are the man seggaeman!
I downloaded the two updated plugins and they both work very well.
