Youre right about them looking similar, they're almost identical. Heavier I don't think it was based on it,

It may be based on them but like Tycek said it ain't the only building with arches and support columns...

Possible, though improbable.

Were I you, I would be searching somewhere in the USA - guaranteed you'll find a building 99.99% identical to the Liberty City Bank.

Plus, it may appear that the Liberty City Bank was based on more than one building, and it is a surrogate resembling them all.

Well, in early alpha/beta GTA III pictures, the game sounds a little asian to me... Claude seemed to be an asian and there were a lot of Triads pictures!!

Claude is French-Japanese. I think, correct me if wrong.

OT: I've seen this kind of topics before - I can't remember what other building it was about - but buildings in GTA that resemble alot of RL buildings.

More Probable to be in the USA because almost all Grand Theft Auto Maps are based in the USA.
