Well you will all be very happy to know that I just had a nice bowel movement. Everything flowed out naturally, no straining required so those pesky hemorrhoids are at bay for another day. Just so you know, straining increases the chances of hemorrhoids. I didn't want any missunderstanding that I may have hemmorhoids, because I don't. Ok just wanted to clear that up, didn't want anybody thinking I had big red bulges protruding my derriere.

Well I tried sitting and wiping. And it was not very enjoyable. It was a bit of a kerfuffle getting into position, and then I felt like I couldn't get any real purchase. I just couldn't quite scrape that crevice with the force I wanted to. Alas, after 2 rather weak efforts I resorted to standing and had the desired crevice scraping experience that I had hoped for.

Maybe it takes some getting used to, but it just feels to goddamn weird for me.

Not sure why we have to choose. I was strictly a sitter until I realized just how much cleaner you can get if you get the initial poopage, probably not a word but should be, while seated then stand to put the finishing touches on.

Standing, from bottom to top. Easiest way, feels pretty natural couldn't sit to do it. Also I don't leave until there isn't a smidgen of brown - don't understand how people can have skidmarks, just the thought knocks me sick.

If you stand up before wiping your ass when your bum cheeks join back up the sh*t would just spread around more mate.

I've been lingering around here since '06 and I remember a topic like this was made in '08 (seriously how many times can you guys talk about wiping arses?). I used to be a stander until someone pointed out that it was much cleaner to wipe sitting because if you're standing aren't you just mushing together leftovers? It made sense so I've been a sitter wiper ever since. Thanks GTA Forums!

How does standing make you mush it over yourself? Seriously, try standing up now and see if your cheeks get pressed together. They don't. It doesn't make you squash your cheeks together and spread poo over yourself!

Who the hells stands and wipes???? As you pull the toilet paper away the sh*t goes along your ass and then when you go to put it in the toilet you have to look at it.... oh god.... but if you sit its doesnt touch you again and you dont have to see it...

It's funny to think that we we're so oblivious about this. The thought of standing/sitting to the opposite can't even remotely depict it and how some have converted due to past threads like this.

It got me too, I was like "What people wipe standing up?" for me it was mind blown.

Nah I think I'll stick to what I know best.

I won't get off that toilet seat until I've done with the wiping.

Maybe you've got a big bum and your hand won't fit between it and the toilet seat, thus standing up and wiping might be your only option, but I'm a skinny bastard and have no issues wiping whilst sitting. Thanks.
