Has anyone hit up The Walking Dead game? It's being set out into five downloadable episodes, only the first episode is available at the moment. I think they're going to be released on a monthly basis: ■ Episode 2: Starved for Help - May 30th, 2012 ■ Episode 3: Long Road Ahead - June 25th, 2012 ■ Episode 4: Around Every Corner - July 27th, 2012 ■ Episode 5: No Time Left - August 29th, 2012
I recently bought episode one on the XBLA marketplace and it's great. Took me a little while to get used to the '3D comic book sketch' graphics, but I totally dig them now.
Rather than your average, 'shoot the hell out of anything that moves' zombie game, this is a puzzle game with interactive dialogue and it concentrates more on characterisation and emotions. Your actions and things you say influence the storyline and character development.
I've played episode one through a couple of times, making different decisions to see where it leads. I'm looking forward to the next episodes for sure. Has anyone else played this yet? How did you get on?

yeh, i noticed that too.. I put it down to it casually slipping people's minds. Her being your daughter is the presumable thing to think, because of the way you interact with her. It's almost like a label they've put on you, even though it's not true.
Also, I presume that £20 was for all five episodes, when they get released? I bought episode one on its own for 400ms points, which is just under £4.

I really liked the demo and would have gladly paid the 400pts for this if not for one minor problem. There is no option to invert the Y axis on the controls. This isn't too big a deal for the point and click stuff but it f*cks me right up during the occasional combat sequences. I grabbed the PC version instead but haven't gotten around to setting up my controller for it. My overall impression is that it's really well done, though.

Yeh, my first instinct was also, "eww, I can't invert the Y axis??". But soon realised it didn't really matter: you're only controlling a cursor with the right mushroom-stick, not the game camera, and I very quickly got used to it, it's certainly not a deal breaker. I didn't even finish the demo.. after about a minute of gameplay, I quit to the main menu and laid down my green to unlock the full game.
Coral_City, most games require you to press buttons to do things.. unless you're on the Kinect..
One of my friends on LIVE was highly suggesting it to me. Love the accurate Comic Book style. I will probably get around to it once the dust settles from the MP3 launch next week. That's pretty much going to take up all my gaming time for the rest of May (and June).

I watched the Quick Look of this and it looks really cool. I'm going to wait until all of the episodes are released though so I can play it all at once. That's pretty much how I watch the show too.

Team Xbox have given the dates for the other episodes:
■ Episode 2: Starved for Help - May 30th, 2012 ■ Episode 3: Long Road Ahead - June 25th, 2012 ■ Episode 4: Around Every Corner - July 27th, 2012 ■ Episode 5: No Time Left - August 29th, 2012
It's interesting having it monthly. It gives me the chance to play each episode thoroughly, and prevents me from blasting through the whole game and getting burntout/bored with it. Also, gives me something to look forward to during the next few months when not many games are being released. (Though I'm sure Max Payne 3 will keep me busy somewhat.)
