It was an NBC TV Movie done during the mid-90's telling the tale of Sammy "The Bull" Gravano and how he became inducted into the Gambino family during the late 70's/early 80's. Along with how he met John Gotti and the two plotting together in killing Big Paul Castellano which resulted in the hostile take-over of the Gambino family and soon began it's downfall. Not only to the largest and most powerful family at the time but also the American Mafia in general. I think what I loved most about it though is it shows what a true piece of sh*t John Gotti was and how his actions were mostly manipulated by those around him... one who claimed himself to be the boss of bosses (when in reality it was Carlo Gambino) was short sighted and self-obsessed.
Probably one of the better Mafia movies out there. It's not as cliche as Goodfellas or the Godfather. One thing very neat about Witness to the Mob is how much of it is fact based. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of Mafia Movies and or has an actual understanding for La Cosa Nostra.

What? The Godfather broke the cliches. Also, you're probably mixing it up with every other film that took something from it and made them cliched. Not the other way around.

Public Enemies, tells the story of the famous bank robber John Dillinger.
I thought it was good. Not great. I'm a history guy though so I knew how it was gonna end. The acting was good though. 3/5 What about Road to Perdition? Is this worth watching? I have the DVD, I just haven't gotten around to watching it

Anyone a fan of Carlito's Way? I watched it for the first time recently and loved it, the final scene in Grand Central station is great.
Gangster/crime films are my favourite. The Godfather, Casino, Goodfellas and The Departed are amongst my all time favourites. I also love A Bronx Tale, that's a must watch for any mafia movie lover.
