The CPU, while a quad core is a rather weak Athlon. A 300GB hard drive, by today's standards is small. While the video card isn't known, the fact that it only has 500Mb of RAM indicates it's a weak and likely outdated card. It's really not good for anything other than web-browsing and watching movies. With that in mind and the fact that it is used, it's really not worth a whole lot. Furthermore, people buying of Craigslist or eBay are looking for deals and are not going to pay full price. That said, I stick by my estimate of somewhere in the range of $200 to $250.

True, but I made that estimate putting the GPU up to a 4870. Well, after reading that, I think $225-275 would a suitable estimate, according to the bids received.

And it runs GTA IV on medium settings as well. I know the graphics card is now outdated, so im thinking of upgrading the card to 1GB First. But anyways, what do you think its worth?

I say the Mobo/Memory/GPU/CPU all need upgrade. If you have a budget then you can show us, and we'll make you a suitable build based on it. smile.gif

Really? I'd probably need one of those for my computer; I checked and it apparently has 138 GB (?), which seems too small to even be acceptable.

Most computers these days come with at the least a 500GB hard drive, usually more. In my desktop PC, internally I'm running two 1TB drives and a 128GB SSD. Externally I have another 1TB drive running.

Nope, WRONG ANSWER dozingoff.gif tounge2.gif

That will play GTA V, I wouldn't sweat it, if it works well enough handling Ballad of Gay Tony, I should think V will work fine. I can't see them having even more problems making a PC edition, but the past is sketchy
As far as Rockstar Games. I'm going to move ahead with Intel, though I have been looking at mobos for both Intel and AMD

My i3 build on the 1156 I'd be selling for $300 as well, but considering my hardware deal shopping, I may try and undercut the normal cost of the parts, I wound up buying DDR3 before they price dropped yet again, so I did do a 4GB upgrade from 2, but that's really most useful if you make do with older Windows XP and 32bit still. It could also help in a case where you have extra Ram slots, just drop in a single gig stick or two

It's true actually, that X4 is an athalon, not phenom.
The 4850 isn't that good either.

Besides playing IV @ Medium settings, then V, probably lowest settings. It's best for him to get a new build.

Well, the 5450 is what I have, I agree for the HD Radeon series, these are about 2/3 years old, but I checked MCenter, still available for low end cards, they offer an array up to cards costing $500 or more, and I never pay that much, but AMD Athlon II is not a monster CPU, you're right there, but AMD's whole line is rather lackluster, hence why they've dropped out of the CPU race against Intel

Watch eBay bidding to see where a good proxy bid cutoff is, even if you buy in a store, etc, eBay is a great benchmark at how things hold value, used

What im planning, is since my PS3 FINALLY died, im going to use the money from this to get an Xbox 360 Slim. Mainly for GTA IV, and hopefully GTA 5.

(however im kinda worried GTA 5 on 360 will be on more then 1 disk, due to max payne 3 being on 2 disks)

Why not buy another PS3 so you can keep all your games then and not have to worry about multiple discs or a 40% failure rate?

You realize that its been proven the Slim 360 has a lower fail rate right?
Anyways thats not really the point. Im tired of Sonys crappy service. Yea XBL is not free, but oh well to be honest. And i only REALLY played PSone games on my PS3 anyways, and i have a PSP which can play them, so no problem here really.

Yea, i played ALOT of games on my PS3, and got to level 12. You can see my profile here: http://www.yourgamercards.net/profile/ccrogers15

Now im using XBL/GFWL anyways. My Profile is: rogerscameron95
Ive so far got a 525 gamerscore from GTA IV and Fallout 3 on PC.
