Okay so recently I came across perfect samples of a Lexus LF-A sound. It was made for TDU, which uses a very similar engine sound system to GTA. (low rev, high rev, idle etc.)
These are the samples I'm using:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8E7DaWfuyw

As you can hear, it sounds perfect in TDU.

What I did then is make the samples exactly the same like the GTA IV car sounds, and still it sounds like I'm driving a hairdryer or a mosquito. I tried using only low rev sounds or only high rev, or both in the correct form, but nothing. The only thing I can get right is the idle sound.

Does anyone have any experience in sound modding?

I tried this too one time but I dropped this project rapidly cause my results were also weird. Sound modding seems not that easy or there's just a hidden magic trick somewhere. that_guy2057_evilgrin.gif

Rob.Zombie, if you're interested in it, I would recommend sending this fella an email as he's the only one I have heard a decent vehicle sound from. All the others sound like lawn mowers that fart when you rev. Here's his latest release, a Lambo sound. His ferrari sound is just wicked mean.
