Do you all jump the fence at sporting events?

No, I stand outside the fence and watch the game, while standing on public property.

It must be a sh*tty game then

Wasn't that shut down?

Well if the person catching the bus got on and was asked to pay then decided not to get on it is the same thing.

Either way the bust company will not make money.

Advertising warez sites is a fast-track to a perma-ban, just so you know. I'd remove it if I was you.

The point is when he got on the bus why should he pay?
The Bus is going to travel the route anyway, the vehicle and it's fuel as well as employees are already paid for.
The same argument for not buying the CD. It's already been produced and it's on line to be taken, and enjoyed without paying for it.

So where's the harm?

Well there is no harm, i think we are debating the same point.
There will be people willing to pay because it is the right thing to do so the people providing the service are still earning profit.

Pirates are parasites? That will eventually kill the host? Not likely but a possibility?
This topic has reached the usual end. Tail chasing, repeated arguments with no end, like the "war on drugs" just say no! smile.gif

If it's as much of a nonsensical waste of time as you imply, why do you keep contributing just to tell everyone that it's a waste of time? Perhaps there's some interesting discussion underneath it all? Or perhaps your just upset that most of your contributions have been sidelined.

Isn't this the Third Topic on piracy? What is there that is new to say. Thieves are thieves, and they all have excuses to continue.
So TPB is blocked by UK government, so to get it back elect other representives to the parliment or just continue moaning.
Some people here are too dense to understand the why of it. And, ... so what's new?

It's the only one that discusses the issue in a British context, but I see the point you ate making. It would have been better served as part of one of the other discussions, but as it's not exactly descended into a pissing contest I don't think it would be fair to complain. None of the other piracy topics are generic ones aside from the one in D&D and that subforum tends to be quite quiet.

I don't pirate stuff so I couldn't give a s**t if Piratebay is blocked. I pay for music and movies. If I enjoy watching or listening to something then they deserve my money. Honestly 79-99p for a song isn't much considering how many times one might listen to it.

If you have a computer then you have access to services such as Netflix or Lovefilm which are both reasonably priced. Cinema tickets are getting quite expensive but if you go to see something good then I still think it's worth it as an alternative to going to the pub or something (plus you can get monthly passes in some cinemas which offer mental value for money.

We've all done it at some point but I wouldn't care if pirating was made impossible.
