car jacking should occur with the right context, for example if you take a fancy car into a dangerous area then your chances of being jacked should be through the roof. If you take a crappy old car no one should touch you.

I think that will help you feel the maps dangerous areas, knowing you should avoid them or not stop at them unless you want to take the rest of being jacked, that is if you have a fancy car.

OT: Sure, it would make the city more "alive" if you felt like you weren't the only petty criminal in the city. As long as it's a relatively rare occurrence and it's easy to chase after the guy and beat him to a pulp, I'm all for it.

I loved this in gta 3. I would steal a banshee from a dealership, drive ascross the street to 8-balls, get it rigged with explosives and wait for the guy to go for the door and as soon as he went for it you pressed the button to blow him up and watched him drive a block away, just to explode seconds later. It was great!

I love those guys. You can spot them from a mile away, and you know exactly what they're up to. They'll be like across the street at a major intersection and as soon as you pull up, they'll start slowly walking up to your car, they're so obvious. I would sometimes just get out of the car and watch them come all the way over and take it.

In Vice City you could do that. Leave a helicopter near the street and a guy would try to steal it. All he did was getting inside, getting out, getting inside, getting out... because they couldn't fly it.

God I hated that, waste like 500 bullets and the car only ends up destroyed, you could never knock a door of a car like those or even when the windshield was cracked he couldn't reach inside, pull the lock and open the door.

It frustrated me to no end when you desperately needed a car, especially when wanted, that you really needed a car, the cops are the only cars around because of one or another reason, you eventually find one only to find it's locked

Would be cool to see some NPCs trying to steal our car once in awhile, but it should happen rarely as getting your favourite car stolen every 5 in-game days or something will frustrate the hell out of some people

Umm... this feature was present in VC; It was a rare event; i vividly remember spawning one of those nascars with the cheats and after having parked it at a mission area, i noticed some guy sprinting towards it and driving off with it really fast and wrecklessly.

To MiamiViceCity, that would be quite interesting! I'd release my power with the M4 (if I had one) and kill everyone! Then I'd probably get into a huge gang war.

I also hated the fact that some cars were locked in III and VC, especially when I wanted the car. Hopefully if they implement the lock feature, we can smash the glass or something like in IV.

reminds me of vice city. If you go to north point the guys wearing brown leather jackets will steal your car. I use to let them get in the passenger side and take of really fast then scare them. Then sometime If your fast enough you can get out the car, let the steal it and get in a soon as they do. If you do it right the ped will drive you around
