LCHC was pretty terrible, although that's expected as it's death metal.

This.

I'm sorry, but I hate hip-hop with a burning passion.

Any reasons?

I personally don't like The Beat either. A bad representation of hip-hop with the modern garbage, although I like a number of songs there.

In VC, I liked everything. I don't really understand the hate on Del Mundo either; you guys really hate Latin Jazz that much?

You're talking about Radio Espantoso, from Vice City and Vice City Stories. Radio Del Mundo is that sh*t "world music" station from Liberty City Stories.

(btw, I seriously <3 Espantoso. Latin jazz is perfect for motivation and relaxation.)

I'm a bit of a fan of SF-UR but I can't stand that tribal song, the one with the man making strange noises to some tribal music.

I also think they ruined Radio Espandoso in VCS. Firstly Pepe was by far a better producer, and the old tunes were so much better on VS. "I like it like that?" Really? confused.gif

And, I'm not a massive fan of "Gangsta Rap" and bounce was a good station on SA, but why didn't they just play Big Poppa by Notorious B.I.G? He had a great tune to it, but then they replaced his lyrics with some "Love between the sheets" Rubbish!

I don't think some Tupac would have hurt that much either. biggrin.gif

That's because Bounce is a funk station and the Isley Brothers are legends in the funk/soul genre. "Between the Sheets" is their song which Notorious B.I.G. sampled for "Big Poppa". And the reason that song is not found anywhere in San Andreas is because it came out in 1994 and the game was based on 1992. Same reason there is not more 2Pac than one of his early 91 songs.

It would be better if they added better stuff to it.

I like that they added Sepultura, but c'mon the crap that was on that station I'm skeptical they were even real bands.

I would have jizzed my pants if jump in a car, tuned into LCHC and heard:

Metallica
Pantera
Norma Jean
Tool
Slayer
Sepultura
Type o negative
Machine head
Fear Factory
Vision of disorder
Megadeth
Six feet under
Isis

I hate Electro-Choc, Massive B, Vladivostok, San Juan Sounds, the Vibe, and the Beat in IV. Some of the music in LRR in Vanilla IV sucked. Half of it was good, too. TLAD fixed this, though.
LCHC could've been better, too.

K-Rose in San Andreas. It's not even worth mentioning the others that I didn't like in SA, because K-Rose takes the cake. Seriously. I f*cking hate hillbillies.

Every station in III and LCS except for Chatterbox and LCFR, respectively.

I didn't necessarily like or hate any of the music in Vice City, V-Rock was the only one I really enjoyed, though. Same goes for VCS.

Radio stations like Radio Espantoso, Vladivostok & Radio del Mundo fall into the category: Music I love to hate! What I mean by that is; I don't like the music but it is actually rather comical and contribute to the wacky feel of the GTA-games in a big way. Therefore, I really hope they will continue to have one or two stations like this in future GTA games.

Some music is just too vile for my ears though. For me, San Andreas had the worst soundtrack so far. There was no real metal station (most of Radio X was lame grudge stuff), there was way too much rap/hip hop (which I hate) and then it was that f*cking country station (Rose). In most of the GTA games I just let the music play when I jump into a car. In San Andreas I found myself switching stations frequently.

I am not saying that GTA can't have a country station or hip hop/rap. I think they should be open to include almost anything. But for personal preference: No.

I also wanted to say that the death metal in LCHC did not replace the hardcore stuff. The hardcore was still there. And even though I am more of a classic heavy metal fan, the death metal stuff at LCHC is probably my favorite station followed by V-Rock.

To stick to the subject though. The song I hate the most is probably that old hip hop song in San Andreas (isn't this song in another GTA as well) with that annoying *BEEP*-sound through the whole song. Help me with the name on that one?

^ I agree with your first point in that radio stations that some may view as bad actually add to the feel of the city, e.g. I severely dislike the music in both Game radio and Lips fm in GTA 3, yet I like them being in the game because they add a certain something to the atmosphere.

the cock rock from V-Rock (VC and VCS), Death Metal from LCHC, most of the Classics station from SA.

I loved Radio Del Mundo and have to admit I liked K-Rose even though generally Country is one of my least favorite genres. I guess I just like like really old Country music.

I think that might be Murder Rap by Above the Law though I'm not entirely sure.

Are you talking about Alwayz Into Somethin by N.W.A?

That's an awesome chill ass song. Can already imagine cruising in a lowrider through the L.A. streets at night, bumping that classic jam.

With that said, I can admit that the beeping sound can get annoying after a while. Still love that song and hate everyone that hates it. smile.gif

Nope, niether Above the law or N.W.A. Those two songs are OK by me even though it is not my kind of music. The rapping in the song I am talking about is telling a story of some kind.

anything on v-rock or TLAD's LCHC

also a lot of the soul stuff on SA I didn't care for

I LOVED Radio Del Mundo. That's like my favorite GTA station of all time. Dum Maro Dum! Also my favs are Emotion, Radio Los Santos, Radio X, K-DST, Radio Broker, Vice City FM (EFLC) and The Beat (that's funny because my local Hip Hop/R&B station is 101.1 The Beat Jams)

You kidding? That song is badass! I have it has a ringtone in TLAD.

The original version is called "Between the Sheets" by The Isley Brothers. Notorious B.I.G sampled it in "Big Poppa". I thought it was better they used that version because "Big Poppa" was from the 90s and Bounce FM mainly played 70s and 80s tracks.
