I have a laptop also.
Bought it last year here are the specs, the game still runs pretty badly, playable unless i get a framerate drop.

i7 2.2-2.7Ghz
6770m 1GB dedicated.
4GB ram.

To be honest I haven't played DayZ, but a cold is caused by a virus and antibiotics only kill bacterial infections. But it's a game so I don't know how accurately that translates

Go into the advanced graphics menu and turn off post processing. It should be easier to see and gave me an fps boost.

I don't have a PC buff enough to handle DayZ. Would it be worth the investment? (huge fan of the zombie genre!)

I have watched numerous videos and read a lot of forum chatter. Might just wait for The War Z to come out to make this decision. Either way I'll be looking to HDMI to my new box in my man cave. Anyone use a PC remote control not keyboard and mouse?

Me and 2D got killed by a server hopping c*nt.

Not best pleased, he joined in stary, shot us both and was off the server in less than 2 minutes after he looted the bodies.

Unfortunately, I've been really turned off the game since the influx of hackers. I don't think he'll be able to address the issue until standalone is released.

Wooh found an M16A2 with a grenade launcher and have also got three mags for it. I found it while looting Elektro in the firestation but I don't know where to head now, where shall I go?

Had an interesting experience on DayZ this evening.

Played on some crummy clan server, LoZ something. Anywho, I was reconnecting as everyone got teleported and killed by a hacker. I was killed so I was respawning, 2 minutes later, I got got tele'd to the North East airfield. Some bandit shot at me, I said I was friendly and ran off. The hacker slaughtered him with an MK 48 camo and gave it to me. He said he was there to killed "bad people" and help good folk. So he presented me and my friends with some loot. Although the admins shut down the server and I lost my weapons. I got a GPS, NVG's and 3 mountain dew out of it though, they saved to the hive
