I have the Battleye version V1.164, and I'm running on DayZ beta version 95417 I can connect to the server itself but when trying to actually get to my player screen I get the ''Battleye stopped responding'' I tried googling the issue and found that there's thousands of way to try and fix this. Reinstalled Battleye on Steam - still didn't work. Any other suggestions? Edit - I sometimes get around that Battleye sh*t which is great, got to the Loading page got the bar to 100% waited about 10 minutes and it still hadn't moved, I'm wondering if I should switch to a different beta version instead of sticking to 95417? |
In some cases you m8ght need to update battleeye manually here http://www.battleye.com/download.html. Also make sure when updating the beta you delete the beta folder first in the exspansion folder where the game installed. Also with my steam install if i run it via steam it will boot up the standard version with the old beta patch. There is a second shortcut in the game install folder to launch arma with beta patch try using that. |
Doesn't work still. Tried everything & anything to get that f*cking game to work but I keep getting the Battleye error. I've come to the conclusion to just delete Arrowhead from Steam and just redownload it again now. Some f*cking bullsh*t though since it took nearly an entire day to download. | Dont reinstall whole game if using steam version uninstall battle eye via program files and then reinstall battle eye via steam That worked for me

| QUOTE (css_matt @ Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 18:34) | Majorly mad.
Day 4, 480 kills and I log into the GTA server to find ive died and am in the wilderness. Rejoined and I was 14,000 away from my position Ran all the way back to my hideout only to get shot by someone who somehow knew how to find me. Lost about 10 guns, 2 vehicles, including my forever loved m4a1 CCO SD
Walked another 14,000 back to the same spot on a different server (daylight) and there was another camp there, got myself a DMR and a few other things. Hopped back to the GTA server and my weapons and backpack had disappeared.. |
Talk about unlucky. I still haven't had a proper session, need to get onto that when i get on my other connection. Because on this one the Ping for every server is 9999 hahaha. This post has been edited by finn4life on Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 09:36

Dont reinstall whole game if using steam version
uninstall battle eye via program files and then reinstall battle eye via steam
That worked for me | Like I mentioned (hopefully) that sh*t didn't work with just reinstalling Battleye. Anyway, after deleting and installing everything again I finally found out that it was my router settings that wouldn't let me play. Not Battleye at all.

| QUOTE (Rebel @ Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 14:06) | | I have no idea what this mine craft model is since I've never played that game myself. I take it its something close nit with the community? As for it being announced that it will be a stand alone game is awesome. Really enjoying the game anyway, so really looking forward to them implementing some new stuff into a game and fixing bugs and stuff. |
I don't play it either but the model is you invest in its alpha/beta stage, and then it just keeps on growing with more and more features and refinement. Not dissimilar to the current way Dayz. However it should be far better due to Rocket crafting the engine to his needs unlike currently where he is crafting his needs around the engine. He will also have a dedicated team so patches will be of much higher standard and it will also allow rocket to focus on new game-play mechanics, so the game will constantly be evolving (much like it did in the earlier stages of the mod). The reason the minecraft model is so good is because when your giving people alphas/betas you pretty much have loads of people testing it, and a constant for of form of feedback about what features don't work on a whole, what do work. It allows Rocket to have great experimentation as the product is not finished, so he could try something radical that could be amazing (also could try something that completely fails). It wouldn't work for every game but something like Dayz where theres millions of possibilities it will be great to have an ever expanding game where your a part of its creation. I hope/expect the alpha he makes public to us will be far more stable then what we currently have in terms of bugs. It still won't be finished in the way of features (and maybe map) but bugs won't be as prevalent. This post has been edited by DeeperRed on Wednesday, Aug 8 2012, 14:50
