Honestly, I see no difference in the GTAF server and the Australian servers except that the GTAF server is stable . There is 10+ AU/NZ servers if you really want to play with Australians, but they're usually full (max of 50 players) so it can take up to 3 minutes to join a server.

Haha great, i would rather play with Americans, it's more of an experience. Oh what sort of specs are you guys running so i can get an idea? I have a laptop. i7 2630qm 2.2Ghz to 2.9 HD 6770m 1GB 4GB ram Plenty of space. Will it run the game fine? I checked the recommended requirements and it looked like it would do fine. | QUOTE (.Trooper. @ Wednesday, Jul 18 2012, 22:36) | On that laptop, you might be fine with medium settings and decent fps I think..
Also the Arma 2 free demo doesn't really give an accurate picture. You will always get worse results on Dayz than you will on plain ArmA 2. | Alright great, not fussed i just want to play, graphics aren't a big concern at all . oh by the way, by fine i mean it won't just be running at 5fps and unplayable, by fine i mean it runs smoothly enough to play. So i purchased Arma II combined operations 23.99, downloading now, my internet is being a little sh*te at the moment and getting a lousy 200/300kb/s on both downloads (operation arrowhead and armaII) but hopefully as the night goes on it will speed up. Currently 8:40 pm, i need to get up at 6:30 though!

Hey gang. I'm absolutely tired of searching for things, so I was hoping one or more of you could oblige me. I'm in dire need of the following things: a tent, a ghillie suit and a set of NVGs. I'll do a straight one-for-one trade in which you may choose from the following items: antibiotics, blood bags in bulk (or a transfusion), four M107 mags (no rifle), a GPS navigator, an FN FAL with one mag (more mags for NVGs or two items), an M24 with one clip and one DMR mag (i.e. five clips for a grand total of 25 rounds) or a Coyote backpack. I will enter the trade location we decide upon (which will be a large, open area) with only one of these items as to not tempt you to kill me. If you can bring me the NVGs, I will give you two of the things I listed. I will require a screenshot with any of these items in your inventory with your GTAF name plainly visible in the debug monitor prior to the trade. Once again, I will enter the trade area with the single item you choose, this meaning I may be unarmed. At the very least, I will enter with my weapon lowered should you want the M24 or the FAL. I would appreciate the same courtesy from you (lower your weapon or place it in your backpack as a sign of good faith), but either way I will have several snipers covering me from several different angles. Neither I nor they will open fire unprovoked.
If you are interested, we can discuss this further via PMs.
EDIT: added more crap I have.

EDIT: added more crap I have. | Wow, seems like a very tense trade lmao. Are the snipers and preparation necessary? Anyway I do have a ghillie and nvg but not for trade atm, since I have a FAL with 8 mags lol I did have a spare ghillie suit I would've given for the coyote backpack but I gave it to a friend

No I'm joking haha, I would do the trade over team speak or something so you can properly communicate if something screws up like lag ore the like.

And for what it's worth I trust GTAFers more than the people of Reddit which is why I'm not even asking them. Anyway, GPS for a tent or an M24 - no takers?

| QUOTE (.Trooper. @ Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 07:57) | I don't know Remix. Sounds a bit over the top to me. Golden coins and quests |
I'm all for a form of currency, because with Day Z once you've literally found everything you need there is no desire to loot anymore. But yeah, quests sound super lame. I can't imagine them being any more than "go here and kill X amount of zombies" and "go here and pick up my lost journal". I guess we'll see soon though! I'm probably in the minority who wants Day Z to be a bit more "gamey" so The War Z definitely interests me. I'm looking forward to what Rocket has planned for Day Z (player-created underground villages, bears and dogs etc) but he's pretty type-lipped about what he wants to add. I love Day Z so much, it's seriously the best game I've played in years, but it's just really hard for me to convince myself to spend hours playing when I know I will die instantly from a bandit sooner or later. The biggest draw about War Z at the moment is the consequences for bandits, which isn't entirely realistic but it's a much needed game element. Either way, it's good for consumers like us!

http://cdn.armafiles.info/latest/I downloaded the Day Z mod from here, and i installed it an such, had some errors so i fixed it, the files look like the newest version, but every game i try join it says "Bad version server rejected connection" or something like that and down the bottom right it says my version is 1.60, i am playing from steam, and i am trying to join yellow iconed servers...is it just because of the new update? Any help, i am still a wee noob. Edit: Found a guide...http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/29401-guide-steam-to-those-spawning-invisible-no-debug-errors-beta-update/ This post has been edited by finn4life on Saturday, Jul 21 2012, 09:30
