1. I had a few CLEO scripts, one of them added chopshop icons.
2. Missions stopped displaying yellow blips at all.
3. I can't see my marker when I place it.
4. I tried moving the scripts to a different folder, but nothing has changed.
5. I tried that one site that auto-fixes your save.
First mission with missing blips: Burning Desire

Help...?

Reinstall the game then reinstall your mods one-by-one and see what the problem is (I bet it's caused by one of your CLEO scripts) , also this should be in the modding forums and not here.

I just now tried running a backup copy of the game (unmodded) with my earlier save, and the blips still won't show up, so it has nothing to do with mods ATM...

Some history of the Game.
Have played the game before you modded it?
Which Version did you buy?
Are you playing with the Original DVD in the drive?

1. Some history?
2. Yes I've played this game before, with and without mods. Modding it tends to make it unstable, but that's all.
3. I have the Steam version, using a cracked .EXE so my CLEO scripts will run normally.
4. I don't need or have an original DVD (see above).

We can't help with Cracked games.
Restore the Original .exe and that might cure your problem.
Else you will need to take the problem to the Modding Forums.

Having been saved with a different version .EXE (1.00 I think), I can't open my latest save with the original .EXE, and vice-versa. And why would this go under Modding? AFAIK, the main problem here is my latest save.

Try this:

QUOTE
1) Uninstall SA.
2) Delete the installation folder if it still exists. (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas).
3) Delete the Virtual Store copy of the installation folder too. The Appdata folder might be hidden. (e.g. C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas).
4) Delete the gta_sa.set file from your user files folder.
5) Reboot.
6) Reinstall SA.

^If the above doesn't work, then try to start a new game.

I'm using XP, so most of those don't apply to me, but I'll try moving the .set file out of My Documents...
EDIT: Not a single thing changed. Any tips for un-F-ing a save?

Anytime you change (MODify) a games original programing you run the chance of changing the way it works in an unintended manner.
The Steam version of the game already has a No-CD/DVD programed .exe.
The Steam (Version 3) was intended NOT to be Modded. Although it can take LIMITED modding. (Example the Chain Game).
Changing it to allow CLEO modifications to work may have screwed it royaly.
You must restore the Game to its originaly intended program and ensure it works before you muck it up with mods of any kind.
Saves depened on the coding of the game to run properly. If you mod the game anysaves with that mod may not work with another .exe. So you have to start over.
This part of the Forums is for UN-modded games.
When you have a Modded Game you can't expect help here. It is that simple.
