So yeah I had the game. I played it and saved the game. I put the saves on my F: partition and after that there was a series of windows changing extravaganza on C: .
I got the game a second time, I installed it and put the saves. Whenever I load some of these saves though, the save bar fills out, the screen fades out, a second passes, and "gtasa.exe has stopped unexpectedly".
If anyone could tinker a bit the files and fix the problem, here they are: http://www.mediafire.com/?r1sm37bbdcwbn4o

I suggest you uninstall your game completely.
Then reinstall using your original DVD.
Play the game with the DVD in the drive.
Use the standard save position C:/.../Documents/San Andreas user files/

Okay, I did that. No difference whatsoever.
Also as a remark when I start new game the game plays nicely.

Of the saves you uploaded in that rar file, saves 1 and 8 load with v2 scripts, and saves 2 and 3 loaded with v1 scripts. You can convert your saves to one format or the other with hmvartak's save converter.
