| QUOTE (K^2 @ Monday, Apr 23 2012, 06:43) | | QUOTE (Jeeebuuus @ Monday, Apr 23 2012, 02:26) | | They better have another bot to hose that thing down after each use. It's not sanitary. Ask Howard Hughes, he'll tell ya. |
The, erm, important parts can be single use. In fact, I'm sure this will be required for any officially operated establishment. The rest of the exterior is easily washable. It'll be more sanitary than an actual woman.
Also, 2050? That's rather pessimistic. I'd expect transition to start a lot sooner, and it'd be pretty swift. Yes, we are rather far from proper functional robotics, but a hooker bot doesn't need to last more than an hour or two between charges, so that's the biggest problem out. She also doesn't need to be terribly strong, making servos quite sufficient. That's the second problem taken care of. AI? She doesn't need to talk to you about philosophy. A modern chat bot is quite capable of generating adequate replies, and she only needs to understand a handful of commands. So that's three for three.
In fact, one can be built right now. It's just a matter of funding. Most of the robotics is funded by military, and I don't think entertainment for troops is that high on their priority list. |
It all reminds me of this old Sam Kinison routine he did in his comic act about Truck Drivers "Riding that ride with a smile", Miss the guy I had to throw in a reference to Domestibot given GTA's humor centering around "In the Future, there will be Robots", and we don't think too much about them even now. Typhus is forgetting about the All Mighty Dollar with that idea about crime dropping This post has been edited by Slamman on Monday, Apr 23 2012, 19:02

Yeah, since it would require the clients to do all the work! | Not at all. Platforms of sufficient mobility have been built. AI for spacial awareness is sufficiently straight forward. Like I said, the biggest problem with machines like this is that batteries run out fast, but there really aren't a lot of men who'd outlast one of these machines as is.

| QUOTE (GTA_stu @ Monday, Apr 23 2012, 18:33) | | They invented this years ago, it's called the hoover. I like the fact I have a Henry because I can look him right in the eye. |
Haha, but surely you could say the same for Henry looking into your eye. | QUOTE | | I don't care how well crafted they can make these things, once you've had some actual nice, wet, juicy pussy, you will accept no substitutes. |
Can't remember the last time I used this acronym. Lmao! This post has been edited by Viperman on Tuesday, Apr 24 2012, 09:48
