Well i was thinking of having different cultures/types of people around the city for example:

So if you wore like "gangsta" clothes and went into the punks area you would get people starring at you, maybe even trying to destroy your car, (something like gangs in san andreas), and then if you would be more punkish and went into the "gangsters area" then they would do similar or same thing, if you came out of the car, and went into a shop then you could have your tires blown. Sorry for my english

Well, that might happen in GTA V considering in LA (los santos) there is a big rivaly between gangs and sh*t and something similar (but more simple) was included in San andreas

It'd be cool to have it in town or something, similar to how most towns are.

Certain areas have the Skaters, not far from there is the Punks then another area close by for Metal Heads.
Other areas would have more business folk, homeless people, thugs etc

The way I see it, this idea kinda contradicts R*'s gravitation towards more realism, as the punk and metal movements in LA aren't widespread and aren't hostile towards other cultures.

If R* this idea is solely used with gangs then I guess it would be cool and pretty similar to SA.

This sounds more like something that would happen in bully, or another game that featured teens heavily. When you grow up cliques don't matter as much if at all and the protagonist will definitely be an adult

I don't think metalheads go around slashing tires because they're dressed like a gangsta. Or vie versa. I don't think there are metal head neighborhoods the way there are gang affiliated neighborhoods.

I'm sure there are some Jamaicans in LA, but they are not many, especially if we are talking about gangs. New York and Miami/South Florida is where most of them are at, hence why they played a significant role in GTA IV.

But this is GTA V and it set LA/Southern California, so I can safely assume we wont be seeing them this time around.

Oh ok thanks for the info. But are there types of gangs around LA which are from the Caribbean? Maybe Haitian gangs like in Vice City?

There are hardly, if any Caribbean gangs in Los Angeles, and if there are, they must be very small in numbers with a very small presence for anyone to notice them. LA does not really have a Caribbean gang presence as such, and this is mostly due to the fact that there are not as much Caribbeans in LA as there are in Miami.

Most of the Black gangs in LA/California are overwhelmingly African-American, the main ones being Crips and Bloods. I dont think there is any other Black gang that has room to exist in LA/California other than the Crips and Bloods, they completely dominate the Black criminal underworld scene out there.
