rock* has made several gta games over the years and they all been fun to play. but can rock* keep making gta games forever or maybe they can make a gta in to some sort of hybrid game.

Of course the series will come to an end at some point, nothing lasts forever. As unpopular as this prediction may be, I can see R* putting GTA on hiatus once V and its add ons are done and dusted.

Another and probably more likely scenario is that ownership of the GTA IP could become disputed in the future when R* either leaves Take Two at some point or Take Two is bought out by a larger corporation (EA most likely). With the IP under dispute a bitter legal battle could render whatever developer that manages to hold onto it almost bankrupt. Then the IP is a state of limbo where the people that own it can't afford to make it but wont sell it to people that could because of it's profit potential. This makes GTA a white elephant and gone forever.

GTA will end when it stops selling, which isn't likely for a long time to come.

They can continue GTA-games until the day Dan Houser is dead. So I think GTA may last a long time.
