| QUOTE (Moonshield @ Friday, Apr 20 2012, 10:16) | Honestly, go for it. Even if you're not sure if you're interested in her too much, I could guarantee you guys would have a good time regardless. And to boot, it'll give you a better idea as to your feelings about her.
Maybe approacher her with something like "so I'm covering prom for the yearbook, yaddayaddayadda, I'm getting in for free and, yaddayaddayadda it'd be fun to go with you." Make it seem like it's not necessarily a romantic date situation, and see where it goes. | listen to him playaindahood...best advice in this thread

| QUOTE (playaindahood @ Friday, Apr 27 2012, 03:08) | | Ok, so a couple of days ago I decided my date would be the camera, because one of my friends said it would be rude to have another obligation, and my date would be like...left out. idk. but he made sense. I have a camera and am supposed to be taking pictures. would it not be rude if I had a date go with me, and then I had to go and take pictures? | You're not much good to her if you can't take her out and take some pictures at the same time. It sounds to me like you have a crush on her, but she's not one of the more popular girls. It also sounds like you fear rejection. I'm not some kind of dating guru, but what I know is that if a woman makes eye contact with me and smiles, then there's no harm in going over and politely asking her out.

If you just chicken sh*t out like a little pussy now, it's just going to be that much harder to do it as you get older. Next thing you know, you'll be some 50-year old loner with no grip on life, leeching off of society and wasting his days talking to himself.

Pictures take a few seconds - you're not married to the camera, come on. Don't be a pussy and just ask her. When she says yes be sure you mention that "I'll be taking a few pictures here and there" just so she knows. As someone was getting at before, in the States girls have a weird prom fetish. Unless she genuinely despises you (doesn't sound likely), or got asked by someone else, they will most likely say yes. Whats to fear? If you don't ask someone else will.
