Konami UK have just revealed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 will be announced this Friday at 11am!

The announcement will be published exclusively on the official PES 2013 website and is expected to come with an official press release, which will feature alongside a video-trailer that's likely to involve PES cover star Cristiano Ronaldo.

On Friday(this friday) at 11 AM UK time, first trailer for PES 2013 will be out.
And while the logo stays the same, PES 2013 is expected to make some massive changes to the series, after PES 2011 and 2012(aka 2011.5), it will hopefully be a worthwhile addition.

Few rumors have been circling around lately, with some of them are claiming that 2013 edition will feature a fully licensed EURO 2012 with 2-4 out of 8 stadiums where Euro is played this year + all 16 participants of euro with fully licensed kits and up to date rosters, as well as the theme song and the official ball. In addition to that, up-to-date rosters of CL, EL, Copa Libertadores. Many many more rumors, i won't make it long, lets wait and see, for the start, the 2013 trailer.

Well, all the PES fans out there, discuss this(and FIFA fans tounge.gif)

Yet another PES game in the franchise. Honestly, I'm not waiting for it, even I'm true PES fan (from the PES 6), because it doesn't seem they will add something new, or at least, edit the old, so it will look newer.

Exactly. icon14.gif

It's the same game for me since PES 2010.

EA has the rights for the Euro 2012 tournament, so i can't see PES having it built in as well. Also 2-4 out of 8 stadiums is a fully licensed mode?

Bought 2012 day one and within about 3 days it had been reduced to 15 quid, must have been once of the worst sellers in the series. I'll still pick it up but it will be when it's dropped in price.

I still prefer 2011/2012 over the past games but it's still got quite a few problems that don't seem to get fixed. For the love of god improve the keeper AI and start having the keepers use their hands more to save instead of stupid star fish type attempts at saving.

Now, this is is what I'm talking about, and this is extremely right. I liked playing 2009 and 2010, just because it was like a new start for the series after the 2008 failure. But after playing 2011, and then 2012, I understood the franchise falls down. I'd prefer playing FIFA 13 (if it will run on my PC) then this game.

Another PES that promises revolution while in fact it'll have only slightly updated graphics?

Eh I'll stick to Fifa. Sure its not perfect but its miles ahead of PES which has been 2nd best for the past few years.

Bump, here's a nice new gameplay video. Sort of a, recreation of Euro 2012 games in PES 2013.

Gameplay looks very fluid, and so do the goalkeepers. And there's Balotelli's celebration too. tounge.gif

I thought PES 12 was a great leap forward compared to older iterations!
The gameplay for me seemed much much more in sync with reality but retained that 'fun' factor that PES has. I feel with some tweaks it will once more be a major contender for best footy sim. Touch up the master league as well, it's a bit outdated.

I so want to look forward to a PES again! Please deliver guys

Just played the demo, not really impressed. They were talking about a new engine and such, but no vast improvement. Only the gameplay's more fluid as AG said. Also it still has that boring and dimm atmosphere from PES 2010. I can't see a reason to pick this over FIFA 12. confused.gif

I miss the days of PES6 tounge.gif

Either I was in the bad mood last year or in the good mood today or they really improved smth more than just graphics but I liked the demo (unlike PES2012).

Had a few games yesterday and it seemed alright. Didn't look like there was any graphical changes but the AI seems to have been improved a lot. Shooting and tackling have been improved which is great.

I felt the game played a little bit sluggish in places, not all the time but sometimes when sprinting/turning is just didn't feel right, probably just me.

Looks like we'll be getting 2 demos again this year like Konami did last year.

I believe the last PES I played was 2008? or 2007? I can't remember.
This one seems okay in my opinion. I'll end up watching some online matches and reviews of it as I usually do for games I am not exacty100% concerned on buying yet.

For me, I enjoy FIFA more.

You need to go outside more, bro.

Tried the demo. Fluid and fun Gameplay is a good mix of PES 6 and PES 2011 this.
The only reason why this won't beat FIFA in everybody's eye is because of all the cut features.
FIFA adds a few new features every year that fans request, not much(nothing's perfect), but enough to clearly see an improved difference between fifa 11 and fifa 12, while PES always cuts stuff out, exclusive licenses too are annoying, it's f*cking 2012.
If PES 2013 were to have all the features PES 3-2009 had, that were all cut from previous few games and that surely won't appear in 2013, it would sell more like it used to. Like this FIFA, will still prevail in 2013.

New engine thing is coming in 2014. It's going to be FOX Engine or something, that's used in Metal Gear Solid 4 and the upcoming MGS ones.
They are also opening a UK Studio, in September 2012 that's gonna help working on PES 2014. Unlike the previous few PES games that ran on the same engine, this is meant to be re-built from scratch, so i'm looking forward to it more then 2013.

Go on a make a better game alone! Think before you speak, dude.

I didn't tried the demo yet. Is it available for PS3 already?
I was a great fan of Winning Eleven until the 9th game. Then I tried FIFA in my cousin's 360 and it was much better. But I'll give it a try, for another year. wink.gif

Tried the demo, the game seems more fluid than last year but i still think FIFA 13 will be better. PES died for me in 2010 sadly
