Me and my mate asim have an idea for a game mode and we are looking for volunteers. here is the basic gist:

- We get a group of people
- each person gets a target (one of the other players)
- and you have to take out your respective targets
- once you kill your target they are out, so they can either leave or just drive around, or have a free for all on a different island with all the other dead-ees up to them, as long as they don't interfere
- and you get your target's target. So for instance if your target was asim, and his target was me, if you kill asim you then have me as the target. So the dead-ee will need to tell his killer the target
- last one in the game wins

here is the map setout we are thinking of, you can add your own suggestions as to alternatives
game - free roam
map - Liberty City
Blips - near
weather - clear (ask asim why)
weapons - all, or episodic.
auto-aim - not decided

now some ground rules, again feel free to make suggestions
- if you kill somone who is not your target they are not out, of course, please try to keep this to a minimum to avoid confusion
- working with others is allowed, in fact it is encouraged, just watch your backs
- mics and headsets are not a must but they will be beneficial if you do decide to work with someone
- once you kill your target, if you die within 10 seconds the kill is void, unless you were killed by your own hunter, this is to avoid people suicide bombing (most specifically to stop me)
- We are considering only counting deaths on algonquin, leaving weapons on the others for the dead-ees to free for all if they want, this is not set like the others
- last 2 are confined to a specific area e.g. airport, industrial or middle park, the area will be decided when we come to it depending on where is closest [idea by ajbns87]
- If you kill your target let us know

Sounds quite cool.

How and who arranges each players target?

With blips set to "near" should there be a rule that the last two, have to be in a set area? Say Middle Park? Otherwise it might lead to them never finding eachother !

I or someone else can use a random list organiser, give everyone a number between 1 and how many we have: As an example: say we get 10 players. everone has a number between 1 and 10

random order:
4 5 3 1 7 9 3 10 8

from this
4 will hunt 5, 5 will hunt 3 3 will hunt 1 etc etc
keep it simple liek that to avoid loops, so you dont get yourself as a target unless you kill the last man and you win

I host events myself too, you should post this in the events section too.

Maybe even get some graphics to go with it, say like a banner, which includes "Last Man Standing" etc. Good luck

I'll gladly assist with the event and planning if you wish.

As for the suggestions of settings;

Game: IV
Game Mode: Deathmatch
Limit: A larger unreachable number within the set kills.
Map: Select one of the Islands.
Blips: Off
Time: Midnight or Evening
Weather: Rain or Fog
Weapons: All, Weak or Standard.
Auto-Aim: Off

Reasons for my suggestions above.

Game - IV is the most actively used of the three games in the IV Era.
Game Mode: Deathmatch because on IV in Free mode all blips setting equal ALL. It's Bugged.
Limit: Well a DM needs one, and a high one to ensure no premature ending.
Map: The whole city is too large.
Blips: More of a challenge, and realistic.
Time: More of a challenge, and will increase paranoia.
Weather: Same as above.
Weapons: To limit over powered use, such as RPG's.
Auto-Aim: It shows more skill and GTAF Users generally dislike Auto-Aim, not to mention prevents team killing or death for wrong target.


I strongly recommend you go to an strong effort of warning with this:

Now for example Aj and I team up, it's not likely I'll kill him.

However we for some reason end you as each other hunters but still team.
This could cause drama if I suddenly shot Aj in the back.

I know the above it not likely however this more-so is:

Aj and I team up, his hunting Dave, I'm hunting Bob.
Bob's target is Aj,
We pull up in a car, I kill Bob then instantly kill Aj.

This will greatly anger Aj, and although his not like and this is purely an example.
Some of the lesser users will then rage and ruin the event for others, with 'revenge' kills and such bullsh*t.

Why don't you guys do CnC one for all, friendly fire on, and give like 2/3 minutes for everyone to scatter and grab whatever they need, so whenever someone dies you don't have to worry about them coming back and ruining the game in a rage attack. You could also do it free for all style, so basically you can kill anyone and the last 2 standing try to kill each other cool.gif

This way it would be a bit simpler, although it would be 2 rounds..
