Can we not compare hardware specs when comparing an Apple and Android tablet? As the specs mean complete bullsh*t. Android is designed to fit many different hardware configurations so it cannot be fully optimised to run perfect, hence why alot of android tablets may have higher hardware specifications than the ipad. As for the whole upgrading apple products every x months, it is the same as every single device out there. Sure apple has their die hard fans, just like android does. Steve Jobs may have been a cutthroat business man, but he did a damn good job at it, considering they only have 3 main products, yet have over a 100 billion dollars.
You cannot use eBay as a price guide for how much an item retails for, as eBay can be more expensive or cheaper than your normal retailers. The price between the tablets are extremely similar, between an iPad and the SG10.1 there is not alot of difference in price where retail channels are concerned.
As for the eBook price fixing, I have a feeling that it was the publishers just as much as the device manufacturers to blame.

| QUOTE (leik oh em jeez! @ Saturday, Apr 14 2012, 21:55) | The generation old Galaxy Tab is just as on par with the iPad 3 as it is with the 2.
Galaxy Tab 10.1: Dual core CPU 1Gb 1280x800 10.1" screen
iPad 2: Single core CPU 512Mb 1024x760 9.7" screen
iPad 3: Dual core CPU 1Gb 2048x1536 9.7" screen
Even being better than the iPad 2 in every way, it's still cheaper and much closer to the performance of the iPad 3.

Correction, ipad 2: dual core 1ghz A5 CPU/512Mb, dual core GPU. ipad 3: 1ghz a5x dual core CPU, 1gb ram, quad core gpu. This post has been edited by Wolf68k on Sunday, Apr 15 2012, 14:38
