Yes, that may be true but

GTA III > GTA IV > GTA V

They were at E3 with GTA III, now it's V, it's been the third in the roman numerals. Does that mean that they should up to the E3 every third addition?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but R* weren't at E3 to reveal GTA IV. Microsoft did the reveal.

They had a bad experience showing GTA III at E3. Everybody ignored them and seemed more interested in State of Emergency. It made a lasting impression that E3 is a waste of time. This story comes from quoting Sam Houser in the book All Your Base Are Belong to Us: How Fifty Years of Videogames Conquered Pop Culture and separately from Dan Houser an an interview:

You know the best way to confirm if this is fake/real? You could just email R* with the same question op posted, and see what response they give... Its that simple...
