| For some reason all of the textures I exported to TGA or BMP won't map onto the dffs I import using KAM's scripts. What can I do to solve this? Everything just shows up white and I cannot figure out how to make it work. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening and what I can do to make it work? |
use DFF IO of Kam's GTA Scripts to import a dff
press M to show Materialeditor
use "picker"tool of Materialeditor and click on your model
then the materials will be listed (should be GTA_Mtl (GTA Material))
click on first material button to show GTA Parameters
in field "main" are 2 buttons:
color for mainmaterial and maintextur
Alpha for alphamaterial and alphatextures
with buttons for textur assignement
both could be empty or just the maintextur is set or both have an assignemet
click on button for textur assignement
then it shows Bitmap-Parameter
click there on Bitmap button to load a texture
if you have loaded the texture, then click on the toolbutton "BLUE/WHITE CUBE" to show the the texturig in 3dMax
if you wanna assigne a new material, then click on "assigne material to selection" "BLUE BALL WITH ARROW TO WHITE CUBE"
