This is for GTA: San Andreas
I've googled this and seen a few people with this problem, but no one has said of anyway to fix this.
My game lags like sh*t. And it's not just regular, slow fps lag, it's just random lag spikes. About one second out of every 15 seconds is just frozen. I'll be running a smooth game, and then out of no where, the game stops for a second, then back up. It only happens when I'm outside, but when I'm in my house, or in the barber, it doesn't lag.
I have an Alienware m14x laptop. Running Windows 7 Professional 64bit i7 Core Processor 2.2 GHZ 3.0 GB nVidia Geforce 550m 8GB of Ram 1TB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
My computer can run Crysis on Very High, I'm sure it's not the graphical settings on this game.
I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that I'm always loading textures outside of the map, but my computer should be able to handle it. If it couldn't, I'm sure no computer that was out at the time the game was out could handle it, so there has to be a fix, I just can't find it.
Please help.
