That is so true... Manhunt 1 and 2, and Bully are confirmed to be in the same world/universe as GTAIII, but most of the other games released take place in, or mention, real cities that GTA cities are based on. (Even Red Dead Redemption mentions NYC.)

Don't think you can, it's either different mountains or the pictures are taken from completely different angles. It could be that, provided it is the same mountain range on both screenshots, the bottom one is taken from the hill, which is on the right on the LS image.

What is this "era" you guys talking about.I have seen this many time but whenever I try to understand I would be going .so can someone explain or can any one give the link to the official explanation from rockstar.

It's not even Mt Chilliad in the trailer, how does it resemble Chilliad from SA. Let's just call it Mount Noire for now, so people won't be mistaken.

I thought everyone was just calling the mountain scene from the trailer "Chiliad" so that we can refer to that scene without having to say "the mountain scene from the trailer" when talking about it

Chiliad is based on Mt. Diablo, which is in the San Fransisco bay area. It would be stupid to call a range of mountains near LA "Chiliad" because of that.
