Agent...........i must see this game .....if u think the silence on GTA V Is bad you obviously wasnt here during the wait for LA Noire or more importantly Agent.

Agent has layed so dormant I cud say the name of the game to an avid video gamer and they wouldnt know what i was talking about unless i said "Agent that new game R* announced about 3-4 years ago" and even then they probably wudnt kno.

I kno GTA V is gonna be out on PS3 and 360 nxt year and a trailer probably is coming late may and a release date on Sony's or Microsofts press conference and maybe some exclusive cookies for either or side.

But after Max Payne 3 is in the wild and R* takes a break and they surley have released more info on V, there catalog is complete as far as this gen goes...unless they intend to bring agent out this gen as well, and as far as these Orbis (PS4) rumors have been goin
im looking at Agent as being R* first a major step into the 7th generation of game or is it the 8th? possibly eclipsing GTA as sony said back in 09'

Well yeah, GTA does have auto-hype

Everyone knows the score about GTA, they know they want it. Next to nothing is known about Agent, it's not even clear if it's really in development. It's hard to be hyped for a game that's not much more than a name.

When I see GTA I automatically want..... When I hear about Agent I think "hmm... I'm gonna need to see more to decide"

It's a much bigger franchise.... Which creates auto-hype

Also GTA has more hype because they actually released a trailer for it!

They better be! And I hope GTA V is bigger than ever.
We've waited 5 months for more info and they have not said anything except 1 statement and 1 trailer.

I hope the game will blow the minds of all GTA fans all around the world.

Still awe struck that my post gotta reply from KNIFE himself......

You guys make sense, I guess im just part of the minority that loves to anticipate
a new future for gaming and a breath a of fresh air from a new IP rather than a
established franchise.

Even after all this time I think back to the hype I had for games like,
GTA III
Soul Reaver
Splinter Cell
Tomb Raider
Red Dead
Midnight Club
Uncharted
MGS 1..............the list goes on and Agent is just another part of it.

For fun I Googled from yesterday's post about finding the Blue II, and that link reported that the demo of GTA will be shown at E3, but there's still not confirmation if it were to be true, that it would generally be seen, or rather, shown in a private manner, behind closed doors, which has been more common.

Agent isn't some unknown rumor, Jack announced it coming to PS3, and followed up on that, Trenton said he didn't know Rockstar's status but they still expect a title for PS3, so the big rumor of last note on Agent was whether it's migrating to Xbox and PS3 for release. It's gonna come, it's not vaporware in my book

Nah; we good. GTA is one of R*'s oldest original series; it's their most ignored yet adored child. When it is time, R* will overly bombard us with info as they are doing with now with MP3. You'll feel the exact opposite as you do now....

I'm with you on that, man. Compared with today's standards, details for IV were comparatively scarce; the first time I remember seeing any raw gameplay was in a video review a week before release. However, if Max Payne 3's coverage is anything to go by, the months before release will treat us with a sh*tload of information to go on.

But I don't see any GTA game every having a typical video game's amount of released information. They try to, rightfully so, keep as much about the game secret as possible before release. That is part of the fun with GTA. It is just not fun to have NO info. So honestly, I would never imagine you could go by the press from any other video game when considering GTA. Info will be given, enough to peak people's interest. And it will SEEM like a ton because of times like this (where we have nothing). But in the end, it will most likely be very little, in order to leave many surprises for the actual game.

Precisely. That is why we are all suffering now. I had a beautiful scenic screenshot of RDR on my wallpaper for the better part of a year before RDR came out, and it gave me a little bit of happiness every time I sat down at the computer. I want that with GTAV. Then I won't care if GTAV comes out a year from now.

I just want a decent, rational flow of info, a couple of videos and some hype-building interviews, without giving too much away. But having nothing.....
