Real or not, the employee obviously doesn't have any privileged information.

It says, "We're also fairly close to E3." It does not say Rockstar will be at E3 or that Rockstar will release information at E3. It seems to be speculation that E3 is coming and something might happen, which is no better than what someone on the forum might say. Technical support people know what they need to know to do their jobs, specifically helping people use products that have already been released.

Well, until they prove otherwise, I think they will be at E3.
Rockstar is one of the most influent producers in the video-game industry, so they will show something interesting in the next Expo.

It's real, the fakes are always much more elaborate because the trolls around here lack subtlety. There was another guy a while back who received a small bit of info from support and he was immediately slaughtered by the forums after sharing the email and has since disappeared.

Lol at the sh*tfest in here, there was a mouthoffs topic with plenty more employees answering similarly, it doesn't mean it's fake. One day you'll need some kind of camera pic of the computer and a video of him writing to Rockstar and receiving the email.

I doubt they'll be at E3, R* never attend E3, you should have seen this part of the forum at last year's E3 when everyone thought they were going and then they pulled out.

GTA IV was announced at E3 through a tattoo, but it was just the logo and no gameplay footage or anything else has ever been shown at E3 from R*, except "behind closed doors" conferences for chosen press. Max Payne 3 was secretly announced this way before any of us knew about it, nobody even knew R* were at the venue that year.

So basically it could go either way, but I highly doubt Rockstar are going to show anything at E3, or PAX. They very rarely attend gaming conferences, that's why they announce their games in their own special way. And if they do show anything it will probably be private.

That guy you were talking about was saying that Rockstar said (in an email) that there'd be more V information in Feburary. Nothing happened. That's the reason he disappeared.

It doesn't matter much anyway, the support guy didn't confirm that they would be at E3, he was merely mentioning it as a possibility. He probably doesn't know either way, just like us. So I'm fully willing to believe it was real, because there's no confirmation, just speculation.

Also alot of you get too carried away. The technical support guys at Rockstar are in a completely seperate building, have very little knowledge of development except what they're told. They know as much as we do, they are saying these things to try and calm you guys down lol.

Technical or Customer support staff do not sit two feet away from the developers watching their every move. Don't get too hyped up by what they say, you'll only be let down.

Most likely. Like I said in my previous post, R* rarely attend game conferences like E3, they announce games on their own not at big events. Any info (if any) that will be released at E3 will be private. You won't get trailers or gameplay footage, never in the history of R* have they shown any GTA stuff at E3 besides a logo.
