Hi guys, just registered on this site to get some help. I just installed GTA IV from steam again, and pasted the backup savegame from my hdd. I'm stuck with romans wedding mission, and when Kate is killed and I'm going to meet up with little jacob the next day, I always get this error when driving to the spot on the map.

GTA IV FATAL ERROR: SMPA60


GTA IV FATAL ERROR: Unrecoverable fault - Please restart the game


I have not modded anything on this install of gta, but had a couple of car mods from the first install. Is this the problem? Are there any other solutions?

bump. or can anyone maybe link me a savegame that is at this mission or just before romans wedding?

Get rid of the car mods. Your mods have corrupted your save file. When you uninstall the game, make sure you click the option to get rid of save data.

This error pops up when you park modded cars on parking spaces. You need to load the game, unpark modded cars, save, remove the car mods and now your savegame should be ok.
