Good evening guys.
I am playing through the game at the moment to attain the Liberty City Minute achievement and my question is "do I need to complete the Assassin's mission's as well?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Nope. The Assassin missions aren't connected to the Story.
And that trophy is very easy to get too
