| QUOTE (oysterbarron @ Saturday, Apr 7 2012, 00:35) | | It boils down to the facts pat as a company expands and get larger like EA has over the years then in order to keep it afloat it needs to increase profits. EA obviously has to ensure it gross enough from games and hardware in order to keep on trading. | Except right now their stocks are losing value by the day because of the new business tactics they're attempting. They're losing profits, not gaining. Do you legitimately think that if they start charging more for their games than every other publisher, that it will pull them out of the hole? All it will serve to do is bury them deeper. They're ignoring their customers, and any shred of business sense will tell you that this is the fastest way to kill a corporation. Nevermind the outrageous treatment of employees, nevermind the greedy tactics used to maximize profit, nevermind production costs - if they do not listen to their customers, they will lose their support. They are already losing their support. If it continues, they will die. It happens all the time in the business world, and you're a fool if you legitimately think EA is immune to it.

I hope they die soon. It would set a really good example to other companies about what happens when such a giant decides that it's OK to ignore customers. And if Bioware has to go down in flames with EA, so be it. They've made their decision when they sold out.
