Hello,
I am one of the many people who has got the disappearing textures and now i dont know by what this is caused , i am very tired of this problem i have had this since the day that i bought IV. I have searched through out many forums for a solution to this with no solution for me. Now i DO use car mods and L3evo 8-7 but i am very sure my pc can run it with these things because i have a good pc. The problem that i experience is that after a couple of minutes of playing it freezes very short and then some textures disappear and reappear very quikly and from then on it gets worse until all textures are gone and when i look up to the task manager it says it only uses like 1.2 GB. I have tried : cacheboost, gamebooster, defragging my local disk, clear drivers and reinstall, using a program that optimizes RAM,change the virtual memory, run the game in other compatibility, tried memrestrict and the textures even disappeared faster, and so on. I am thinking that the problem is with my RAM but my RAM should be enough mm? Here are my PC specs: OS Name: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601. Other OS Description Not Available. OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation. System Type X86-based PC. Processor AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor, 3200 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s). BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 1601, 8-9-2010. SMBIOS Version 2.5. Windows Directory C:\Windows. System Directory C:\Windows\system32. Boot Device \Device\HarddiskVolume1. Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.1.7601.17514". Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4,00 GB. Total Physical Memory 3,25 GB. Total Virtual Memory 8,12 GB. Available Virtual Memory 5,98 GB. Page File Space 4,87 GB. display adapter AMD radeon HD 6800 series (1 GB)
Please reply i dont know what is going to fix this i really want to play this game without any dumb texture bugs atleast reply = D thanks

| QUOTE (mkey82 @ Thursday, Apr 5 2012, 23:50) | | The fourth switch doesn't even exist. | Well, I wanted to have improved graphics even if I have DX 11 so I put that switch (It works). @OP: Err, do you know what steps you have taken before you installed the clean GTA 4? Because now you need to reinstall and remove any modded file (you might have updated the file via changing some units manually). See if it works. Don't worry, the RGSC and will be fine and your settings and savefile too. If you bought it from a store then cation! You game may be of Patch 1.0.0.0 so be sure you update your game before playing. I don't know what errors or crashes will occur. I warned you...People play GTA 4 for their story so complete the story and add mods, trainers, whatever you want but, don't come asking for help because multiple mods cause damage to the game. We would simply say remove the mods. Also, don't triple post. Wait for anyone to post or help you.
