As mentioned, not for argument but because it's stated by them, Maximum PC feel the Sandy Bridge E can be used for gaming, can you really prove it's suffering when faced with that task versus work? GPUs arguably can be less astute for gaming chores, but CPUs do more number crunching that's not a matter of the app's needs I believe

SB-E can be used for gaming, but they won't be much better than SB, while the cost of the platform is noticeably higher.

That's what I thought.

I added a $2000 build; and I just found out that the 2700k worth the money - it's only $7 more than the 2600k!

MaxPC was saying their tests showed the E series as the fastest of the fast, at that time of course. I'm just relaying it for some debate, but I prefer there's something to back it up, and they do benchmark stuff they get their hands on

Yes but it is far more expensive.

The new items I purchased are in post #20 in that thread.

My graphics card is an Gainward GTX560 1GB DDR5 Graphics Card which cost me $209 although, you could properly find it for cheaper.
