Ok, so I installed Gta SA off steam recently, modded it somewhat, then put it back to normal. But now when I try to launch it, It askes me if I want to run it, and I say yes. then the screen flashes, and it askes me if I want to run it. I click yes again, and same thing. Im not sure if im missing a file. My specs are:
Comp. type: Acer Aspire X3400
Video card: Nividia Geforce 9200
OS: Windows 7 64 Bit
Proccessor: Quad core AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.10 GHz
Service pack 1
PS. Deleting the .set in gta sa user files did not work, nor did compatibility modes.
someone please help I really want to play!
EDIT: Now its placing a file in the gta sa folder called: gta-sa_1854_assert_2012_4_3T1_30_46C0.mdmp

| QUOTE (JF-Mir2 @ Wednesday, Apr 4 2012, 23:14) | | This kept me wondering why the size of your .exe is only 6 mb? Have you tried reinstalling the game? And btw, mods doesn't work on steam, because the game is v3, which could not be modded in some way. | I actually have modded it by replacing gta_sa.exe with a different gta_sa.exe, allowing me to install mods. The problem occurred when I deleted the cleo files. I deleted the cleo files because my game was freezing at the loading screen, and figured getting rid of the mods would fix it. I did fully reinstall the game.

Get rid of the crack and you should be fine. Like I said, v3 is not moddable, but try downgrading it to v1 and mods should work fine after that.
