I have been searching for a release date of this game. I keep finding a release date of March 31st and yet, I cant buy it on steam so I am assuming its not going to be released till later. So has there been any news on the date?

Valve has stated that once the game has been approved by the community and when it comes out of beta, which has been an estimate of early next year. Then they will release the game.

Right now, CS:GO is in very early beta, where invites are scarce and hard to get a hold of. I hope that answers your question.

Like others have said, it will be released "eventually". VALVe's release format these days is "Release a beta on PC, make users fight for it, wait years to release the final product: .

To be fair to VALVe, they only hold back games until they believe they're good enough. Can you name a bad VALVe game? (Except Episode 1 but that wasn't so bad)
