QUOTE (Topic News)

I will pause the development of the 'Gangsta Rides' for the moment.

Forget about that. I cannot find much motivation for a convert. I'll stay with the original cars.

If you really want to do a conversion could you please do some cars from Dirt 3? They are very nice & I like them! blush.gif icon14.gif

Like I said above, I rapidly dropped the idea of converting anything. I have taken a look into that again but my knowledge about modeling still seems insufficient for that.
Besides the fact that there are thousands of converts available all over the internet... yeah this doesn't increase my motivation to go for that. Right now I'm doing nothing
but the next thing should be an overhaul of the existing cars here. But I'm lazy right now, don't expect much although my brain is full of ideas.

I know what you mean, for me whether or not I start/work on/finish a model depends on the amount of motivation I have.
If I know I won't get a lot done given I have heaps of time, I won't bother. On the contrary if I'm bored and in the mood then I'll have a crack and usually once I start I tend to finish it.

Are the ones with the 'sport brakes' the ones that don't have the Brembo logo by any chance?

All of the cars do have custom brakes. I can edit them all again and I will cause I like this idea of going away from real brand names. If I could only overcome my currently demotivation for IV modeling. smile.gif

Naid, because you're into this 'area' of modding, do you know of, or have you created, a list of small-file-size cars or modified stock cars? I think it would be very interesting to build a modified stock car / low-file-size vehicles.img to address the traffic issues from high-poly cars (that other makers make).

Hi Packet, how are you?

You mean a full list of modded stock cars? I don't know if such thing exists but it's a good idea. But that would be hell of work to collect all info about modded stock cars.

@kor0ro.k3yz: If you liked my work I strongly recommend you to buy ZModeler tool. It's really not expensive and far enough for IV. This project will remain paused for unknown time.

Hi folks, some time has passed by since I touched IV but... You could say I was lazy but I wasn't! My eyerings even got bigger because of Skyrim...

Let me bump this topic with a small update: I made a second variant of the Oracle M with some slight differences, nothing major. I called it Oracle R this time.

A bit more powerful and aggressive variant of the twin-color M variant. CarPack updated as well. See head post for pics and links.

I don't know what is going to happen. Currently I have many other things to care about. That is the most precise answer I can give right now. confused.gif

A lot of times the smallest things makes all the difference. And from what I can see it this case it does. Those tweaks, made existent vehicles fresh and interesting again. I never modded GTA IV and stopped playing it, but this mods just might change my interest for the game. This is the kind of mods I use and I'm very picky when it comes to modding games. I don't like crazy and over the top sh*t that starts annoying you almost immediately you started to use it. But a tasteful improvement on the existent material is hard to get and always welcome. Converting doesn't take much imagination, even though there are some interesting ones, but I think you have something very interesting going on here.

Too bad you had to stop just when it became very good, and was looking forward to see some dull station wagons and simple cars to get pimped up. Lower suspension, aggressive grill, new headlights, few details here and there and you have a new badass to ride in Liberty City. It will be my first mod in GTA IV and it says a lot even if it doesn't mean much. Good luck and hopefully you get back on making generic sh*t look cool again.

Thank you very much CCPD, I couldn't have explained it better. I hope I can find the time to keep on here. It's hard to say but the truth is, the older I get the less time I seem to have...
