I know this hasn't got a lot to do with DYOM, but please try and help me.

I've been using the 'joypad' option on GTA:SA, because the mouse isn't working.

It hasn't got to do with the mouse because it still works in Minecraft and it use to work on my old laptop for GTA:SA.

Any help?

What OS are you on?
Have you tried running the game in Win 98 compatibility mode?

Different Games have different use of resources. That it worked in one game does not mean it will work in others.
Modding the game has effects on the programming.
Since the mouse worked before.
Remove the mod(s) recently installed just before the mouse failed to work.
You might also consider deleting the GTA_SA.set file.

Well I only have DYOM. And it has always worked with DYOM..?

OS = Operating System (XP/Vista/Win7)
Generaly if the Game worked before and suddenly stops working properly a driver or other config may have changed (updated, etc) which the .set file doesn't like.
Deleting the GTA_SA.set file (which contain current configs) may allow the game to adapt to the new <whatever>. The .set file is created when ending game play each time you have a successful exit.

Again, DYOM is a modification of the normal Game programming.
If you play the regular Clean (Un-modded) game do you have the mouse problem?

Maybe it's got something to do with the affinity of your CPU if it's a quad core:
Start the game, hit Ctrl+Alt+Del (this minimizes the game and opens up Task Manager), go to Processes, right-click on gta_sa.exe > Set Affinity > Uncheck all except CPU 0.
Now return to the game and see if you can click again.

Thanks weasel. Well, I have W7. No, the game doesn't work without DYOM either. But, I'll try some of your solutions.
