I honestly thought this was an AGE OLD bumped thread, because DIE HARD is old even by my standards!
Not to say it isn't a master classic in action films, because despite the luke warm response it may have gotten here, it's like Indiana Jones in the same way that a follow up film was slighted for it's missteps, in the same way, George Lucas with Star Wars, such fond memories of the first, and the followups hard to regain that magic. I don't say leave it stand at one film though, they should try and make a successor, but make sure to get the elements right

Honestly, I think that Bruce Willis is one of the world's worst actors to ever set foot on a movie set; his only decent part in a movie was Pulp Fiction. With that said, I thought Die Hard was a crappy movie due to its main star being Bruce Willis. In addition to the plot being so cliche, there are way too many characters to remember and for me, the whole thing was a mess.

BLASPHEMY.

I take it you're a Twilight fan?

4.0 was in la la land.

You are right here, i still thoroughly enjoyed it, the Die Hard series is fantastic, full of action and great punchlines, particularly the one at the airport, which i watched the other night.

"Hey, Carmine, let me ask you something. What sets off the metal detectors first? The lead in your ass or the sh*t in your brains? "

Al Powell: You're not pissing in somebody's pool, are you?
John McClane: Yeah, and I'm fresh outta chlorine.

i could keep going.

EVEN I expected more from "4", not GTA 4, of course, but the same is true, in a way
I enjoyed Indiana Jones' last film more because I love the series, but I think even the film makers know they messed up and perhaps will attempt to put the series to rights again!

Bruce making the news currently for different reasons....
