Grand Theft Auto V
Will you be disappointed at R*? If GTAV won't come out this 2012?

| QUOTE (Miamivicecity @ Wednesday, Mar 28 2012, 10:01) | | QUOTE (Racecarlock @ Wednesday, Mar 28 2012, 19:42) | No. If there's one thing i've learned from GTA IV, portal 2, red dead redemption, driver san francisco, and Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, it's that good games take time. Call of duty may have the same level of polish every year, but I think I could just buy one of the modern warfare games and never have to buy another one again. Hell, I bet the Modern Warfare 2 demo I have on my xbox could pretty much fill in for the whole MW series. And I like saints row the third, but it was rushed as all hell. And the subtraction of taxis is one of the biggest betrayals of the year.
However, red dead redemption took 6 years to be made and come out, and it's really good. GTA IV took 4 years and that's really good too. I don't want to know how long Elder Scrolls fans must have been waiting for skyrim, and driver fans probably had to wait even longer for driver san francisco. So yeah, I can wait. Oh, to those who are going crazy from lack of information, think of how the Half Life 2 Episode 3 fans must feel. We have a trailer. They don't even have one screenshot or press release. At least you can still go back and watch the trailer. HL2 EP3 fans have to imagine what the game will be like, with no images to assist with that. |
I agree. The majority of my favourite games this gen have been 4/5+ years in the making. The only games I've really enjoyed with such rapid releases are the AC games. | Even AC is getting stale though. It's pretty much what R* wanted to avoid doing with GTA by not annualizing the franchise. All the best and most memorable games this gen have been years in the making (V, IV, RDR, Skyrim, Fallout 4?). I hope ACIII (which IS years in the making) will redeem the franchise because Brotherhood and Revelations caused me to start losing interest. @Racecarclock Am I missing something with Driver:SF? My roommate has that game and it just looks awful and undeveloped to me. You can't even get out of the car and wreck havoc like in past Driver games...

| QUOTE (Street Mix @ Wednesday, Mar 28 2012, 07:34) | | Yes, I'll be done with it by then cause R* are laziest devs eva who cant produce a game in 6 years unlike those brave hard working devs at IW, Treyarch and Ubi Montreal. | Yep, and agree, I can't even believe some wouldn't be upset and voted no, that just shows you that you are drinking the Casey Kool aid. If they need 5 years to complete this it is a disgrace to US as gamers. The game is done, they will just push it back because of competition. I honestly am loosing interest in V as I am not expecting much from the game as with IV we were supposed to be given the world, plus with MP now and DLC's we are not getting the full game anyway which GTA was always about SP.

I mean have they heard of the word wait, or haven't they. |
Because it shouldn't be 5 years to make the game, and the fans support rock with buying their games, and they are very unpersonable with their fans, they shouldnt have released the trailer knowing they were going to delay MP, and then come up with another excuse of not putting out V in Oct. | It should be if they want to make it right w/o any lags or glitches, now do they.

Seems like you hate GTA V for real. | QUOTE | | Its easy to release THE SAME f*ckING GAME once a year | It's not. It's very unique each year - new boxart, new setting, different set of platforms, and most important thing - only 5 hours to complete cause 40-60 hours in your GTA is too long and boring.
