They are musical differences, but if you like music that some don't, it is irrelevant. What isn't irrelevant is if you could add your own music from the console, it would be a good option. It would also depend on the MP3 type file, whether it's been MP3 converted from YouTube. Perhaps iTunes should be added to Xbox 360 & the PS3 so you would have to buy it from there, or, copy it from your iPod/MP3, let it go through an iTunes scanner (which detects if it's pirated or not), and if it's okay, can be stored and used during game play.

I think it would ruin the vibe but R* should give us the possibility to add our own music to the game. In the end no one is forced to use it. I know I won't. I'm too excited for all the new radio stations. Discovering awesome songs I didn't know about is part of the fun with a new GTA game.

How can people honestly vote no to this?

You mean to tell me people would rather listen to the sh*t Rockstar puts on the radio rather than being able to listen to your own music which you like?

And honestly, I doubt listening to your own music would destroy the atmosphere. Chances are, it'll actually improve the atmosphere.

The thing about being a game developer is to be brave enough to make your players listen to your soundtrack. Which is why part of the critiques that goes into all GTAs is R*'s song choices, which has usually been good anyway (it was amazing in SA). Unless you're aurally and/or creatively challenged, you could appreciate music outside your favourite genre.

Still, I wouldn't mind having it in the game but I personally would stick to what comes with the game. It's a whole package after all. Like someone said, maybe after completing the storyline, as a sort of compromise and reward for completion.

Choose songs that fit in the game and it will be awesome. In San Andreas for PC I added more songs from the albums that were already in the game and it was amazing.

If people want to blare their own sh*tty music I say let them have it. The radio soundtrack provided by Rockstar will be a better fit for the city as it was created as such, but I could see myself using it perhaps if I want to listen to one or two songs not on the radio. The feature would probably be most popular with people emulating previous iconic radio stations, e.g. Radio Los Santos.

Of course there is a difficulty with getting this onto consoles, but it's been a feature of the PC games for multiple iterations.

How about a compromise. You get custom MP3 player after beating the game?

I think yes

Then don't use it, at least be nice and let everyone else listen to their music if they want to. True, I liked Radio LS and Radio X in SA, LCHC, The Beat and Liberty Rock in IV, but It get's too repetitive.

Fixed this for you. You misread the poll question.

I just hate it when in youtube videos people put on screamo music. Screamo doesn't belong in GTA.

How would it honestly ruin the feel? It would make it more realistic to have more music. Plus half the songs in GTA IV i hated, and i only had the console version for the longest time which could not have custom songs sadly. GTA V should.

While I love every GTA’s soundtrack, I occasionally want to crank my own tunes so I’d love a User Track Player like in SA for the XB/PC.

Take SA, I usually go between the Radio sations in by default and my User Tracks depending on what I want to hear, anyhow it's optional you don't have to use it, those who don't want to.

The fact is the answer to the question is no.

This is something that's completely down to the individual, if someone decides to play custom soundtracks and likes it, it won't ruin his/her experience. If they don't like custom soundtracks, they won't turn them on.

End of.

Personally I don't listen to custom soundtracks unless I'm playing multiplayer where I'm in and out of games all the time so the in game soundtrack will keep stopping. That's the nice thing about custom soundtracks on Xbox is they will play all the time and work in every single Xbox 360 game.
