I want to know your opinion on this. I think yes, because Every GTA Game has it's own soundtrack that makes the game unique, Like San Andreas with gangbang music and 90s rock, Gta IV with European pop and modernhip hop, vice city with 80s hits. Gta V should have a great soundtrack so me personally wont mess with it

EDIT: THE TITLE WAS MEANT TO BE TYPED WITHOUT THE WORD CONSOLE.

It'll ruin the feel if you listen to crap music. Personally I like to go with what the dev put in. Besides R* always ace the soundtracks. GTA IV had a brilliant one.

How about a compromise. You get custom MP3 player after beating the game?

Well maybe not beating the game. It could be something you pick up from a Fruit computers store for 50,000 $ and have it break in a month biggrin.gif

I can't see custom soundtracks happening for the PS3 anyway, there's a reason why only games published by SCE (like Gran Turismo 5) have custom soundtracks on Ps3.

Not true, I'm sure that EA Sports games allow to import your own music. Or at least FIFA does anyway.

OT- To be honest, I think it all comes down to what kind of music you listen to. Having a custom soundtrack would ruin the vibe for me personally as I listen to bands such as Feeder, The Clash and Keane, yet it wouldn't for those who upload music from the region like west coast rap and what not.

People will listen to their music anyway, so why not integrate it into the game. I personally like playing my music through my surround sound with the sound effects of video games as well. Versus playing it through my phone or whatever. The problem with GTA games for me is that while I usually love the soundtrack, I play the hell out of the games, in that time I get sick of most of the same songs and just feel like it gets repetitive hearing the same things over and over.

Real radio stations don't play the same 10 or 15 songs over and over. People who want to listen to the in game radio will do so, while people who want to listen to other music will also do so... Why not simply allow it in the game to make it fell like listening to the radio versus losing immersion playing it through a different audio source?

I prefer listening to the songs R* have chosen to match the setting but there is no reason they shouldn't allow others to have their own soundtrack.

Try and enjoy what the game's presenting to you instead of trying to make it your own.

Each GTA Game had a different way to play the soundtrack on PC
Independence FM - GTA IV
User Track Player- GTA SA
MP3 Player - GTA VC & GTA III

I hope they do something like that for consoles as well in V/// biggrin.gif

How can people honestly vote no to this?

You mean to tell me people would rather listen to the sh*t Rockstar puts on the radio rather than being able to listen to your own music which you like?

And honestly, I doubt listening to your own music would destroy the atmosphere. Chances are, it'll actually improve the atmosphere.

Yeah it's one of my favorite films. I could really relate to Warren Oates' character. The realization that he's going through a crisis really creeps up on you and lingers after the film's over.

The Criterion edition comes with the script. The whole burning screen thing at the end was actually written into the film from the start.

Sorry for straying off topic.

At the end of the day, it's your Los Santos to ruin, but if you genuinely like the music you will instantly have a possitive associated with the game. And San An had a fantstic soundtrack, there is no way cruising the countryside listening to "A horse with no name" by America or "Runnin down a dream" by Tom Petty, or "Emenince front" by the Who could be considered anything but a classy throw back to the best game ever. Sadly (if there is no option for your own music) the chance of any of those 3 or indeed any other song from San An are incredibly small.
