So I decided to hook my computer up to my plasma screen tv to play some new Vegas and while doing so I noticed some white lines that went left to right while walking forward and up and down while strafing left and right any ideas what this may be my computer is good enough to handle new Vegas and my gcard and tv are less than one year old. , also I have some borders on the sides of the screen so could this be just the settings?, I'm asking here because nowhere else seems to have a response to this and there are some tech guru's here that know what they are talking about, any ideas, the lines are faint like barley visible.

I'd try playing with the resolution and refresh rate. Can you get any pictures of the lines you're seeing? And do you know what resolutions your TV supports?

No problem. Try 1280x720, or 1920x1080 and see if you get the same result.

Either your system didn't detect the new display, or your TV doesn't support 1080P. Before you enter a game, go to your "change resolution" screen and hit the "detect" button. If 1920x1080 isn't available, then use 1280x720. It's possible your TV is only 720P or 1080i. If it's 1080i, then 720p (1280x720) is better suited to gaming anyways, and is the resolution you'll want your game set to.
