Anyways, it would be cool if they had a mission where you had to flee to Mexico to escape persecution, or something of that manner, and then have to find a way back to the US.

Who says one mission? It seems sensible to include a city based on Tijuana and a country town based on Mexicali since Baja California is extremely close to Los Angeles.

I could see a mission where you have to lead a Mexican anti-cartel paramilitary to victory over an evil cartel based on Los Zetas. That would be epic.

I would love to see this although it runs contrary to what R* said the game's location would be solely based on: "a re-imagined, present-day Southern California."

Okay then yeah it could be cool. I was thinking back to that San Andreas mission at Liberty City where it was just used once. If it's part of the map and you can go there any time then it would be interesting to see in the game.

Eh just a thought, seeing how they did it on RDR and it worked pretty well. It would be cool killing drug cartels for sure.

They cant ignore it. Its perfect the only way u get really sick guns is in mexico. Awesome, imagne a stranger mission being smuggleing someone over the border. It has to be in it. Or at the very least, have it be endless desert after the toll booth. Still would be awesome

To be honest with you (I've never said this before) but even before GTA V was announced I had a dream in which Mexico DC appeared. Don't ask me why or how...I think it was somewhere in june last year or so...strange but true. I'm no Mexican myself so finding an explanation to why Mexico appeared from all of the sudden in my dream is hard.

Rockstar's "re-imagined Southern California" includes "Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches". The Mexican border does not fall into that area.
