Texans just paid Duane Brown!

6 years for 50 mil and I think 20 something guaranteed. About 8.9 a year for a top five NFL tackle. That is good.
I remember when he sucked his rookie year, but he got better every year. Now he barely gives up sacks and can run block like a mug. Brilliant day for Texans fans.

If Schaub stays healthy, I expect big things from the Texans.

Giants/Jets tonight - Big Blue defense vs the Wildcat.

That is exactly why we extended Brown, he is a beast left tackle.

No, it's the Giants versus the Tebows. Any team that Tebow joins automatically gets its name changed to The Tebows.

He is the only player that matters.

Tebow-mania is sickening, but neverless, he is a intriguing player to watch. Anyone else notice it seems the Jets are letting him go back to his old throwing motion? sh*t is ugly.

I went to college in Northeast Florida, only an hour away from Gainesville and 20 minutes away from Nease, for four years and two of Tebow's career at UF. Now I'm at home in New York and I still have to deal with Tebowmania. I'm cursed.

You know what's funny? The way the Jets are now with a suspect o-line and lack of game-breakers, they're better suited for Tebow. He can do a better job of evading the rush and making plays than Sanchez.

I'm watching every Jets game this season, because they could be a train wreck. I can see the headlines in the NY papers now. As for his throwing motion, hey, you are what you are. I've heard experts say you can't really teach accuracy - you either have it or you don't.

Offensive Line is atrocious, and it's sad because this looks like a complete set-up for Mark Sanchez to fail. They'll definitely need some players to step up to be relevant, but then again we are judging from preseason games so we just really don't know.

Pre-season or not, I was impressed with Andrew Luck against the Steeler D last night. Kid made every throw. If the Colts can put the right pieces around him in the next 3 or 4 years, watch out.

Yeah, Luck was great, while his offense... not so much. An easy catch tipped into the corner's hands, blech. Also, lol'd hard at the NBC announcers sugarcoating the Colts's o-line situation: "He's part of the revamped offensive line!" As if Satele could wash Jeff Saturday's jockstrap. All I saw of that "new look" line was LeBeau's inside triangle busting through Luck's protection on almost every down.

To be honest with you the whole offencive line isnt bad.

Cant wait for the Seahawks game against the Chiefs. Russell Wilson is going to win that QB job and he's got to ball all year long. Thou shalt never doubt a short QB again! tounge.gif

In all seriousness, wilson will have Lynch, TO, and Rice and Winslow.

I'm pretty nervous about the Packers game tonight. I don't care about winning, I care about our backup QB, Graham Harrell, performing in a way that can be called satisfactory. If Rodgers gets injured this season it's all over. We (the fans) had so much more confidence when Matt Flynn was with us. Now I'm not so sure.

I completely agree with you, I have not liked what I have seen from Harrell. The fact that what hes shown we are supposed to be fine if Rodgers gets hurt(knock on wood) is nuts he doesnt look ready to step into number 2. What im most excited about is to see what Cedric Benson Can do for us.

Not sure if you guys read Deadspin, but Drew Magary has been writing hilariously scathing articles about every team in the NFL titled, "Why Your Team Sucks: 2012". They include his opinions as well as fans opinions of their own franchises. I recommend the comments section too. People HATE this guy.

Here's the one for the Packers

Since I have a sense of humor I find that funny. tonight is where we will see where we are the starters all playing the first half, lets hope for a good showing. GO PACK GO

I think the outcome of the starters and the second string defense looked great. The 2nd string offense has lots of issues, im still iffy with Harrell being the backup

great pre-season action for Denver this afternoon.

Manning finally threw his first real TD pass in a Broncos uniform.
this after finally getting hit and knocked down hard by a rushing defender. he was in the process of airing out a deep throw (which he completed) so his arm was still engaged in the follow-through. 49'ers linebacker hit him clean but laid him out on his back, yet Peyton bounced right up and ran down the field to start the next play; no huddle even.

finished the first quarter with 2 TD's and a field goal.
lookin' sharp as hell.

NY Jets trade Wayne Hunter to St. Louis Rams for Jason Smith, former No. 2 overall pick from '09

There's the solution! Swap one under performing right tackle for another!
