Yeah dude, I totally agree. On paper, you guys look like the favorite to emerge outta the NFC. I think it's the best spot for Manning at this point. With their historically good D, a very solid offensive line, weapons at their skill positions like Gore, Crabtree, Vernon Davis, and now Randy Moss, and a proven head coach in Harbaugh...it just seems like the best possible scenario for him. Not to mention the nice weather he'll get to play in which I think is p relevant considering he's used to playing in a dome. The concern I'd have if I were a Niners fan is how they change the offensive scheme to suit Manning's talents. In Indy, his playbook was was extremely complex and catered to his strengths. Having not seen a ton of Niner games last year, but hearing that the playbook was oversimplified for Smith, I wonder if they'll have to overhaul the entire playbook. I'd expect an adjustment period regardless, but with true pros like they posses...it shouldn't be too big a deal.

One of the big concerns I have for this year is the loss of Guard Adam Snyder. He was an essential part of our running game and Chilo Rachal is terrible. Hopefully they can pull someone out of the draft to fill the hole, along with a couple of deep threats and a bigger endzone target to compliment Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker.

And good luck with pursuing Manning, I hope you guys nab him since I don't want him in the same division as the Chargers. (Although the Chargers have actually played quite well against him, historically-speaking)

The Rams just lost Lloyd and i was thinking, "Yes, now we only have to face one great WR all year", (referring to Fitz). Gotta love the NFC West. Glad we're getting better.

nah I think you're right. San Fran has a better chance of winning the Super Bowl tomorrow than the Broncos. but more than anything I think Peyton made his choice between a combination of where he feels comfortable AND where he has a decent chance of winning. I'm thinking Jim Harbaugh makes Manning more uncomfortable than John Fox. | QUOTE (Nick Foster @ Monday, Mar 19 2012, 18:40) | | Manning obviously signed with the Broncos because they paid him more |
I'm sorry but this is just dead wrong. if you do a little research you'll find that his potential offers would have been the same no matter where he wound up. it's going to be about 20Million a year because that's about what he was getting from the Colts and it would put him on par with other top free-agents. it's pretty standard what each team was offering. he wasn't going to get much more or less if he ended up with another team than Denver. his decision was not about the money.
