People are sleeping on the Seahawks like they did in 2005.

You don't even know if you guys have a 'decent' quarterback yet. The Seahawks did pick up Braylon Edwards, which is a 'eh' pick up but if he plays he can product, especially with the young WR core the Hawks have.

The Hawks Defense is on the edge of being top tier. All they need is a pass rush and quality LB play. With adding Bruce Irvin and Jason Jones the seahawks could very well have that pass rush. With their stellar DB play from Thomas, Chancellor, Browner, and Sherman and the (re) addition of Marcus Trufant to play the nickle (some dont realize but Trufant is one of the faster CBs in the league) and highly underrated LB KJ Wright and Leroy Hill.

I like.... no. I love the Seahawks defense.

The offense was shaky at best last year. However we do have talent. Tate shined at the half way point on. And Baldwin is obvious. I believe he was at least top 5 in Yards after Catch. And Ricardo Lockette has burner speed i've never seen before, and he's worked on his route running and catching the entire offseason. The dude has set a goal for himself of never dropping a pas during training camp or preseason. And so far he's been successful.

Maybe i have too much faith in the coaching staff. The staff struck (temporary) gold with Mike Williams and struck golden deals to get Chris Clemons and Leon Washington. They've found diamonds in the rough with Sherman, Baldwin, Wright.

Any English fans know if Sky will be showing the NFL games this season?

Who's your favorite NFL team?

What's the overall opinion of American football in Great Britain?

Atlanta Falcons, yours?

It's getting quite popular these days. There's not a lot of places to play due to the expense of everything, but more people are interested overall than ever I'd say. It's a bit awkward watching games as they go on into the early hours of the morning, but I'd say the overall opinion is very high as once a year two NFL teams play eachother at Wembley and the event sells out pretty quickly.

I support my hometown New York Giants. Things have been good for us since 1986.

this last Saturday I went with my dad to the Broncos open practice scrimmage game that was held for the public @ Mile High field.
there was over 41,000 people there!

41k just to watch a 2-hour practice and offense vs. defense match. that's more attendance than most professional teams get on the average Sunday.
the place went absolutely nuts when Manning ran out. I'm in the middle of unloading and touching up my pictures from the zoo last week, but I got some nice shots from the practice game which I'll post a little later.

it was free of course.

Well, get your popcorn ready. TO is now in the Pacific Northwest. Contract is a shade under 1 mill for 1 year.

Matt Flynn was also named the starter for the Hawks first preseason game.

That's awesome. Flynn is a class act and I'm looking forward to seeing him be more and more successful.

Both NY teams are playing Friday - finally! I want to see what the Giants rookie WRs & RBs can do. And of course everyone will tune in to see Sanchez & Tebow running the Jets 'ground & pound' offense. Ha! How will they ground & pound with their crap o-line and Shonn Greene? That dude doesn't impress me at all.

I feel bad for Sanchez - look at who the Jets surrounded him with. Aside from Holmes, who are the playmakers? Who scares the defense? What was the front office thinking? Now Rex Ryan says he's open to using Tebow more to make up for the weaknesses in the o-line. What a hot mess.

Just heard Plax is working out for the Patriots.

The Jets offence is a joke.
Im a Jets fan and ill agree with that even.
Holmes is a play maker, but hes also a loud mouth.
I perdict another 8-8 season, Atleast Quinton Coples is looking impressive.

The Seahawks are looking good. Flynn is good, Wilson is good, Irvin showed some fairly surprising power, Jason Jones is speedy, and Brandon Browner is awesome at the tip drill lol (first the tipped and gift INT from Giants' Victor Cruz and then the tipped gift INT from Titan's Kenny Britt). i'm pysched to see TO and Edwards back in action. That TD catch by Braylon Edwards was awesome.

Plax won't be a Patriot unless they are ravaged by injuries. They are flush with red zone targets and he'd be like a #4 #5 receiver in their crew. Plax is only useful as a tall guy in the end zone at this point.

Don't put much stock in the preseason, guys. The 2008 Lions were 4-0 in the preseason and went on to go 0-16 when it counts. Preseason is only useful in terms of seeing position battles.

I'm surprised there isn't more heat on Mike Tannenbaum. Instead of giving Sanchez a left tackle, stud running back and better receivers, he gives him Tim Tebow, the biggest distraction you could have.

Jets are trying to involve Antonio Cromartie on some offensive plays, as he was practicing at the WR position. I find it sad they're going over to the defense to find some offensive playmakers. He is athletic but this guy is no Devin Hester.

Jason Witten has gone down with a lacerated spleen. I hope he recovers quickly, but if he's not ready by the first game it will be interesting to see who Romo relies on in the passing game. Even Miles Austin has been battling the same damn injury (hamstring) for it seems like years, so I just hope Dez Bryant.. or somebody is able to step up and make some plays for us.
