Well, after the loading, the red mark (to start the mission) appear and the player too, but shows very fast, some two seconds on max. The name of the mission can be seen, but fast too... Some suggestion ?

i figured out why the crash occurs ........ it's something like this : u star a new game , it loads with the gta sa sound , the snake williams spawns and HELL ON WHEEL showa on the right lower corner of u'r screen , then { i use windows 7} says "GTA SA HAS STOPPED WORKING" ...... right?? in my pc , it happened because of the SFX folder . first time when i tried hell on wheels, i copied all the folders . then the game crashed. then i tried without the sfx folder ... and now it works smoothly ..... only one problm ...... as i didn't copy sfx folder ,,, there is no sound in the story missions at all javascript:emoticon(':colgate:') javascript:emoticon(':pp') so now i'm playing gta hell on wheel without any voice-sound javascript:emoticon(':dozing:')................................ OMG, I never would have even considered the SFX as being the problem! Thanks man, I'll put that as a recommendation on the front page. Thanks man, I appreciate it and I also appreciate the kudos on the story and such  * Edit*: Somebody tried the SFX fix and it didn't work for them  back to the drawing board lol ALL OF YOU WITH CRASHING PROBLEMS: Please try replacing the SFX - Generl file with the Original from the disc (or use one of the backup files found online) and see if it helps...if it DOES help, please msg me and let me know and I'll re-upload the mod without the SFX folder. I really hope it helps, I hate to think any of you are unable to play over something as small as the SFX : / @Platinum_card: The cutscenes only have subtitles, but the characters during missions sometimes talk (including the player character. He has some funny lines.) If you replace the SFX file with the original you should still be able to play with all the sounds. The only sound I changed was the engine for the War-Horse and Violator (I replaced the Faggio engine with a heavy V-twin engine sound, but it's a small detail you won't notice much if it's missing). @Vintage88: Not sure to tell ya the truth, I never tested any multiplayer aspects. Damn, was really hoping the SFX thing was the final fix. Sorry it didn't work for ya, really could use some help from some coders to find the real issue (ZAZ, where are you!!? lol) @minnieman: I still can't figure out why it works for some and not for others. Thanks for testing out the SFX fix (even though it didn't work), Let me know if it keeps crashing in the same spot. With any luck I can get this working properly soon, as the people who HAVE been able to play have given it great reviews. I'll try my best to get it working for you, it's just hard when my copy doesn't have the same problems to fix. (If you know anything about SCM coding, maybe you could try re-adding the external scripts I removed, not sure why that'd work but who knows). And it's a shame I didn't run into you before working on the project, there were so many bikes and models I wanted to include but didn't have the skill to make (the Sayonara was originally supposed to be the Dodge Tomahawk but nobody would model it for me). I'm installing a fresh GTA SA on my PC, gonna apply the mod without SFX and try to run it.
If it doesn't work, oh well. At least I tried.
EDIT:
Yes! It needs a fresh install (can't be assed to start figuring out what mod or file makes it crash) to work.
So install a fresh version and DO NOT include the GENRL file in SFX.
EDIT 2:
Got to Bikefest. Need to find "Mean Jean" but this chick is nowhere in Bayside. If she is, and I'm just missing something, make it easier for players to locate her. I've been aimlessly roaming around trying to find this bitch.
EDIT 3: You can save during "A lot like Waldo" and when you do, the acid effect stays on you, corrupting the save file. Now I have to restart the whole game again.
PS: During the mission where you have to parachute onto the town hall building from a plane, make it so it shows the player where you're supposed to land. I got it too late and had to use a cheat to get up there again.

@ MinnieMan: Thanks man, if you just found the final fix you'll be my hero for life lol And thanks for pointing out that thermal vision error in "A Lot like Waldo", I can't believe I missed that one. I'll add that to the "known bugs" section of the front page 1.) To find Mean Jean (during that mission), make your way to the intersection on the main drag (near the open bar and the parked bikes). You'll see a staircase (face north) next to the buildings, going up to an alcove. There's a big sign that says "Bikefest" above the area. It may be tough to see while Snake is high on acid and there's no radar marker, but once you approach her a cutscene will ensue and you're done the mission. If she isn't up there, then let me know (if someone shoots at her she sometimes runs away). 2.) There is a marker on the townhall roof, both a red sphere where you must land and a yellow marker on your radar. I do admit however that the marker is very small, about the size of a player "blip", and can be easily missed. In retrospect I probably should have used a larger marker. If you have any other mission trouble, check out the Hell on Wheels Strategy Guide @ tommzy2 & THking: Thanks for your interest in my mod I do plan on making other mods, however I will be doing them in IV and V era from now on. I do however plan to release some addons for Hell on Wheels, including Motorcycle modding at the car shops. As for a Harley Davidson, I tried my best not to include too many "real" vehicles, but there are harley type cruisers in the game. i didn't have any problems at those mission , but now i'm facing something annoying  there is a "?" mark and also a red circle as a mission starter on the map , at las venturas , near MILLIE's home but no mission starts from there if u wanna know when the mark appeared , i'm gonna have to play the game from the beginning  and after completing two missions from the native warriors , there is still the leaf mark on the map at the same place where the military jeep is, with a red circle but no missions  and the red circle in los santos for saving game does not work.and also after completing the delivery mission that ANIMAL gave, to deliver some chemicals from SHEIKH , there are 2 more missions from SHEIK, after completing the 2 missions an "A" mark is shown on the map , there is also a red circle as a mission starter. but no mission starts from there , not at all! i waited there about four minutes but no mission starts. help please , i'm stuck as there is no other mission and none of the new missions are working

@ THking: Thank you for bringing this to my attention - The "?" mark in Las Venturas means you've unlocked the Elvis side mission, but it's not working eh? The mark should have appeared after completing the final Mafia mission (but only if you choose the Revenge option). I'll look into it right away, the problem might be a misplaced sphere as there is more than one "thread" that can activate the mission. I really hope that isn't the case, as I will have to compile a new scm and upload everything again to fix it - For the native warriors, the marker should dissapear after the second mission. I don't remember having an issue with that in my playtesting, but I'll go through and check it out again. Maybe there is a bug of some sort in the mission cleanup. - The savegame in the los santos trailer park doesn't work, but honestly I don't even know why it's there I don't remember adding it lol I'll see what I can do about that too. - Strange, the "A" (Adolf Swartzenhaggen) marker shouldn't pop up until you've completed both the missions "Deal Breaker" and "Beer Run". I'll check the code, maybe I accidentally have it show up too early Please do me a favor and check your radar, is there a marker at the Hilltop Farm north of Los Santos? It's a red rose with white wings. If that marker didn't show up after Bikefest, then that's a major issue  If it is there though, try doing those missions and then return to the "A" marker, let me know how it turns out @ Hustla_XV: Thanks man, I appreciate it And I'm always happy to hear it when the mod runs smoothly for someone ( lol, "hell" of a job)

Wow, thanks, it works fine and without crashes (some of them sure appearing by missions, but that's fine). And I have a thing I did for myself but I think that more cloudy weathers and dark atmosphere will be very urgent for this mod, so you can use it free in your mod, if you like it.
